Dear Admiral, my 12 yr old grandson wants to be in the Navy . He is so excited about the sea cadets. And has visited the program where he lives. Soooo excited. Evidently they are trying to build their program to accommodate more than 10 youths. As his grand mom, I think it will break his and all of our hearts if he can’t join. Sure, but how many wars have the western countries fought in the modern times against actual well armed militaries? Fighting terrorists and practicing is one thing, but fighting an actual opponent who shoots back with equal guns is another thing.
