Along with the collossal 1.35 update came an update for one of the titans of Eu4... Russia. This nation if played correctly in previous patches produced so much manpower that even if they used Season 8 of Game of Thrones as a textbook for strategem, they would still win every battle they fought. But today we answer the question: Is Russia stronger now 1.35 has released?

Love when two content creators post same nation same day. Love seeing the contrast between Laith and Ludi videos. One is a min-maxer that shows the super optimal way to play a nation while other is chaos incarnate that sometimes uses console commands for even more fun, and quite frankly love seeing the min-max guides Laith!

@Shadow Turtle on the tiers of optimisation of the big 4 eu4 youtubers (that I watch), it goes zlewikk, laith, then ludi and redhawk - redhawk focuses mostly on guide content and thus doesn't optimise to ridiculous degrees, and ludi, as previously said, is the more chaotic one who can be really optimal if they want to. Out of all of all the eu4 youtubers I watch though, if you think these are optimised (which they are somewhat, just not to obscene degrees), clearly you haven't seen an oirat world conquest TAS.

i really like this playstyle in paradox games: go conquer, but make a lot of vassals. it looks less ridiculous when you conquer a lot, and also its just cool to have a lot of cool nations you already like. great video!

9:22 with the Military one for that event, it seems to give 100% permanent defensiveness there - Is that intentional or is a digit off and is it actually for the whole game. If it's for the whole game that's insane, wack a Rampart there and you have an insane fort no matter the terrain. Also Yeah, Timurids seem to be insane. They were doing really well in my game all the way until the Ottomans kicked down the door, which is yk, par for the course for Middle eastern Nations in EU4. Current patch has some weird things and balance, but it's tonnes of fun. Would love to see a pt 2.

It is day 169 since I asked you to do the challenge with Croatia in VIC 3 but in one of the videos, a good person named Andraip (Thanks for all the help) said it has a few flaws so it's time to correct them. So when you start playing as Croatia you have 15 years to get your independence, after that you cannot ally, get in a defensive pact, and you cannot be under any kind of protection and you must rival these powers as soon as possible: Austria, Russia, Serbia, Montenegro, Ottomans, and all nations from the Italian boot. You also must embargo all those nations and cannot enter their custom union nor can they enter yours. You cannot be in an alliance with any of the top 10 nations, including a defensive pact custom union, or protectorate, but you can trade with them. AI must be put on the default settings in case it isn't. If you ally let's say Portugal, and later on they get into the top 10, you must break the alliance. You also must stay monarchy all the time. Form the Danubian state with Croatia following these rules. (FYI incase I didn't make it more specific, you cannot join anybody's custom union you must always at all times have your own market)

The prospering event you had has a hidden broken aspect to it that you didn’t notice. If you choose the middle option, it gives that province 25 trade power. How much is this, exactly? Let’s just say that it turns a useless province into something that has trade power comparable to a level 2 or 3 center of trade. It is broken. Always choose the second option.

EU4 should make it so the first 10-20% of the topleft side of the screen doesn't scroll the map left. Watching the first 2-3 minutes of the video and seeing Laith struggle the same way I'm struggling to click a damn button without moving the map leads me to believe this is a common theme.

Due to the fact you called out Portugal in such a way, I as a portuguese am obliged to say. Would you like a pink britain? Well Blue is the Portuguese Monarchy´s color (if you dont count white) so while in modern times the green makes sense for Eu4 it makes much more sense to have it blue.

As a Portuguese, I am not a fan of the new colour, it's not that it is a bad colour, its just that I prefer the green, and not being a monarchist I don't care for the blue as Portugal.
