President Putin is a dangerous individual question, but he’s no threat of NATO territory is, he will be putting his place.🇺🇸🇬🇧🇪🇺

This is not an escalatory measure, it is a proportional response to NATO, when Macron claimed that NATO would target Russian cities and specifically named St Petersburg he effectively announced a strategic change in NATO targeting strategy away from military targets over to civilian high population targets, this is simply a proportional response to Macron's declaration. Note that military targets in the USA and the UK have been removed from the primary response targeting, clearly showing that Russia now considers the NATO EU nations as being the primary threat. This opens the door to the USA to take the option to step away from involvement in a nuclear war between the EU NATO members and Russia if the EU NATO were deemed as provoking the war and this will not be overlooked by the USA as a mechanism to prevent such a war going global. Remember it was Macron and France that declared the change of nuclear targeting policy and not the USA and it is quite likely that the USA therefore will not consider itself as directly being a party to the current nuclear standoff between the EU and Russia. There is no doubt that the USA would stand by their European partners is they were subject to an unprovoked nuclear first strike, but if the EU wants to provoke a war it is unlikely the USA would feel committed to get involved, indeed if any form of America First thinking is going on in the Whitehouse they will be aiming at de-escalation and keeping it regional.
