I am American, I was also raised to be very aware and proud of my Ukrainian heritage. I was born in 81’ in Texas. I mention this to say that when you spoke of receiving accusations of collaboration simply for the fact that you are Russian, I kinda felt that and my heart goes out to you. It’s worth acknowledging that I do not occupy the extremes of that, nor am I an expert. I just know how it sucks to be so easily dismissed for things out of your control. Things that are ultimate a part of your identity, and our identities have an amount of similarities.

You may withdraw from foreign soil but you allow an enemy to win by creating conflict, making it stupid not to go further. I recall an image from the late 2010s where two conservatives took a picture together with t-shirts that said, "I'd rather be a Russian than a Democrat" The guys wearing these shirts were older men who grew up during the Cold War. I vividly recall how lukewarm conservatives were about Ukraine being INVADED by the Russians. Then they started turning hard against Ukraine defending themselves. It was weird to see the spin to make the idea of resisting pure foreign aggression a bad idea.

It's not a popular take, but you're right. Political interference is coming in louder than ever. The LGBT/Pro-Palestinian groups have a lot of overlap, and do a lot of disinformation (like, for example, Islam is not tolerant of the LGBT lifestyle, so the only safe-haven for the LGBT in the Middle-East is Israel, not Gaza or West Bank. So why support the terrorists who want to oppress the people and unalive those who live 'degenerate' lifestyles?). Putin and HAMAS would get along like a house on fire.
