Across the road, people are demonstrating against the war in Chechnya - no one is taking any notice. "Mr.Putin is getting away with the Chechen war and his crackdown on Russian democracy," comments Yuvgenii Kiseliev. In camps on the border with Chechyna, the mood is hostile - "Chechens don't expect anything from Russia, but they don't understand the indifference of the West," says one woman.

Korea was pointless we gained nothing after not listening to our higher ups, I believe or the UN, about Chinese build up on the border of Korea and guess what a massive offensive was launch many Americans and other UN troops needlessly slaughtered because we didn’t listen to our intelligence that was backed with proof. Not at all comparable to azerbaijan armenia war. Chechen russo wars is the reason the whole balticum was able to join nato. Chechnya was also the reason why russia struggled with power till 2000. Chechnya is also the reason a dictstor like putin is in power. So it had a very significance as a whole in forming the post soviet states. Also dont forget ukraine this mess wouldnt have happened at all.

Because the conflict in Chechnya was seen as a Russian internal problem and not a invasion of a sovereign state. Please understand that I totally support the Chechens and think it’s disgusting what the Russians did in Chechnya. The main problem now is Ramzan Kadyrov! A soldier who witnessed the war told horrifying storries about negligence in the Russian forces at that time. His troops had to take a civilian train at their own expenses and get through the Urkanian border making a deal with customs officers to go to the gathering point with their ak's and ammo. They were met by outrageously drunk commanders who didn't expect them to come and were disinterested in their fate. Their platoon had to find ways to get to to the battlefield on their own. The war was actually lost. Our regular forces were repelled by Chechen rebels. A pro-Russian leader was set and Chechnya that has been receiving over a billion dollars annually to maintain peace. The same worked with the Crimea, Sirya, Georgia. Now we're in the middle of something new. God help us all

And, no, the Ukrainians haven’t been intentionally targeting civilians which is not only the moral thing to do but the smart thing to do. It makes it abundantly clear who the good guys are and who the bad guys are. Pretty important when you’re relying on outside help as much as they are to make it easy for people to be able to easily make that distinction.
