It's not about the cost. It's more like tanks and trucks are slow enough to be an easier target now due to the massive usage of drones while motorcycles are much faster. It's about mobility.

Motorcycles have been used after WW1, in fact the photo you show is German troops using motorcycles in WW2. Also if it is not effective why are the Ukrainians starting to use them?

Russia is using it as assault vehicle/troop transport, while Ukrainians are using it for surveillance, mobility. Ukrainians aren't charging on motor bikes.
If they keep doing it,it must be a reasonably effective tactic. Russia are adaptable but they won’t use something which prove to costly. Unlike Ukraine.

They're using bikes like African soldiers do in the Sahel. That's where Russia picked up this tactic from. 2 soldiers per bike can sneak up on an enemy from left to right. Doesn't matter how loud the bike is, you don't know where to look. They're using African tactics & Russia is now attached to the sahel region.

tanks and armored car vehicles are good in some situations, but in this conflict, FPV drones are taking out tanks in high numbers on both sides. However, it's difficult for a drone to take out motorcycles riding next to a tree line. Because of technology, war has changed drastically. Tanks just don't cut it anymore in many situations.....they are not mobile enough and there are hundreds of drones in sky from both sides just picking off tanks and other armored vehicles.

You're kidding, right? No armor means anything and everything kills you. FPV drone with a grenade? Check. Rifle bullet? Check. Infantry mine? Check. Cluster artillery round explodes over your head? A dozen more gone. Armor exists for a reason. When they send you to the front, will you hop on a bike and charge? After all, when you get hit, it's only one.

Drones don't have to be just in the air. Use land based drones. If you mass produce them they could be actual lawn mowers, the short grass showing where the path is safe landmine wise. Also consider better cover to hide heat signatures if you're doing a night attack.
