Too early. If they do this now and lose it within 12 months, Russia can basically say "We've defeated AFU again and captured more Ukranian land". It's one thing to invade, it's another thing to hold it. Only time will tell. It's barely 1 week ago since AFU only invaded.. It's still 526,6 km forwards from Kursk to Moscow If they will reach Kursk in the first place..

Notice the common denominator above? Yes, russia (coRUPsia) Western Media blinders: 1) The Department of State made a determination under the CBW Act that russia has used the chemical weapon chloropicrin against Ukrainian forces in violation of the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC). Rarely was it mentioned in the news. 2) When Ukraine fights back, "possible escalation" becomes the media's new catch-phrase. 3) When Ukraine does something strategic that they did not tell the media or the U.S., the media is full of...."Why did they do that? Risky gamble? Can they really hold the area?" 4) Western media couldn't report themselves out of a box if they had to........

The most important thing about the Kursk attack is not occupy those territories , it"s more to cause political and psychological effect on the Russian population. They will take significant amount of POW"s and eventually retreat. Even if Ukrainians are kicked out of Russia, the scar will remain. It is similar to what the North Vietnamese did to the US in the 1968 Tet Offensive during the Vietnam war. US civilians were told everything was going well in Vietnam until that offensive changed everything and people began to question the war.

It's a morale victory for Ukraine, it's creating more incentive for western nations to supply Ukraine and with more offensive capabilities at that. While it looks like the tide is shifting in Ukraine's favor, they are simultaneously losing numerous territory in the Donbas. Realistically they won't be able to hold onto Kursk, and the success of this operation will count on how much they can capitalize on this current press momentum and stir a narrative of this war in their favor. Frankly though, it's a war of attrition and has been, since Ukraine refused a surrender agreement in the first initial days. Ukraine with the continued support of the western nations may be able to supply a larger arsenal, considering the production capabilities of their suppliers, but they need to continue, to project a narrative in their favor, so that it looks like they have a fighting chance. Because in a war of attrition, Russia has them completely outnumbered in able bodied troops, and guns, planes, tanks and artillery are only effective if they have crews to run them. That's my analysis of the situation, of course there is much speculation here and I am making assumptions on the objectives and motivations of the involved participants but I have made these conjectures out of the deductive reasoning of the information I have been privy to. I hope that this helps spread light on a narrative contrary to your own.

As a corollary to the theorem, I will add: Whatever it can is not that much. Mario Draghi, when leading the ECB (European Central Bank) and facing a speculative attack to the € once said (in a speech that eventually became famous): "The ECB will do whatever it takes" (to save the €), "and, believe me, it will be enough”. It was enough just to announce that it would have been enough. But Draghi and the ECB had a credibility that Putin and Ruzzia do not have.

The invaded area was minimally defended presumably because Russian forces were fully stretched, with priority given to the diffuse offensive in the Donbas. Thus any redeployment of forces must mean sacrifices elsewhere and the laborious construction of logistical paths and resources. We are seeing the end of Russia’s Donbas offensive. Russia does not have reserves of trained manpower and supplies, a flexible military, or any General Patons. It will be a long time before it can stabilise the Kursk incursion!

I asked why Russia is fighting Ukraine to meta and this is what i got..... The conflict between Russia and Ukraine is complex, with deep historical, political, and cultural roots. Here are some key factors: 1. Historical ties: Ukraine was part of the Soviet Union, and after its collapse, Russia felt a loss of influence and control. 2. Ethnic and linguistic divisions: Ukraine has both Ukrainian and Russian-speaking populations, leading to cultural and political differences. 3. Geopolitics: Ukraine's strategic location between Russia and Europe makes it important for trade, energy, and security. 4. NATO expansion: Russia opposes Ukraine's potential membership in NATO, seeing it as a threat to its national security. 5. Crimea annexation: Russia annexed Crimea in 2014, leading to international sanctions and tensions. 6. Eastern Ukraine conflict: Pro-Russian separatists in Donetsk and Luhansk regions received Russian support, leading to ongoing fighting. 7. Ukrainian nationalism: Ukraine's efforts to assert its independence and identity have been perceived as a threat by Russia. 8. Energy interests: Ukraine is a key transit country for Russian natural gas exports to Europe. 9. Political tensions: Political disagreements and power struggles between Ukraine and Russia have contributed to the conflict. These factors have culminated in the current conflict, with Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. Understanding these complexities is crucial for finding a peaceful resolution.

@thebigmon
@thebigmon 29 дней назад
@@jamesgreen1116 The west took Afghanistan in just a couple of weeks. Replaced the government, built hospitals, schools, and roads while chasing away Islamic fanatics. The Afghan economy and population grew during this time. In 20 years of occupation the west lost 2,200 servicemen in Afghanistan. When the west finally left, thousands of Afghans were crying at the airport gates, they felt betrayed and abandoned. Turns out the people considered us the good guys all along. Comparing this to what’s happening to the Russians in Ukraine is pure comedy.

The reasons why Ukraine was anle to penetrate Russia terrority ate due to lack of defense systems wherein the west defense system are more superior.,lack of appropriate warfare equipment's and lack of military warctrainings of its soldiers. They recruited soldiers and sent to battle field without seasoning them.

Militarily, Russia knows it smarter to keep up the pressure in Donetsk (Ukraine can’t logistically support more than the space it has occupied), so it is dedicating local resources instead of materially repositioning forces from Donbas. Putin must create the political impression that Russia is retaking the space it lost, however, and the consequence of using inexperienced conscripts and second echelon troops is going to be loss of thousands casualties and POW conscripts…the political pressure that will generate will eventually become unbearable to Russia. It is clear Ukraine gamed out all these scenarios before it decided to move forward with the operation.
