Russia claims that a defense industry enterprise in Nizhny Novgorod region has launched mass production of 3-ton FAB-3000 bombs and increased production of FAB-500 and FAB-1500.

USA lose. They have experience but with cavemen in sandals, they have not fought a real army. Russia is fighting a real army in Ukraine and they only have 2 years of experience while USA has had countless years of experience but never fought a real army. Besides, if they get directly involved, China will join the war to help it's neighbour and that is a recipe for Nuclear war. All sides will not allow losing the war. Washington needs to start listening to the security concerns of Russia before it's too late. The biggest idxxts here are Europeans, they have had 2 wars before so they should have learnt from that.

This is nothing new. The USA made the The ASM-A-1 Tarzon, also known as VB-13, was a guided bomb developed by the United States Army Air Forces during the late 1940s. Mating the guidance system of the earlier Razon radio-controlled weapon with a British Tallboy 12,000-pound (5,400 kg) bomb, the ASM-A-1 saw brief operational service in the Korean War before being withdrawn from service in 1951.

Europe needs to focus on military production as well, war is happening in Europe and I have a hunch Russia will start more European wars one each decade or two so Europe has to ramp it up.

It's a lot more complicated than simply saying "focus on military production." It's not something where they can simply throw a bit (or even quite a lot) of money at the issue and have it fixed in a few months, or even a few years. It would require a major transformation of the West's entire economy, educational system, etc. to be able to match where RU is at right now, and this would take many years, probably decades, and it's doubtful there's the political will to even start this process, since it goes against what's been the mainstream neoliberal Western doctrine for decades now. It would require reversing the outsourcing of production, abandoning "just in time" manufacturing, building and maintaining huge excess factory capacity to be ramped up in wartime, training many tens of thousands of technicians, etc., etc. Alex Vershinin, writing for the British military's Royal United Services Institute, recently published an article called "The Attritional Art of War," which goes into lots of detail about why the West is lagging so far behind in military production, and why catching up is no simple matter.

@@Bike_Lion Of course its in no way simple but Germany alone has a much higher GDP than Russia, if European countries united in research and distribution production they can probably get there in 10 years or at least up to 20 years. Now Europe has some production of quality stuff but not exactly anywhere near Russia, you gotta start sometime. Also it would be in the interest of European nations to do that either way because as NATO members you must contribute to the defense by spending 2% of GDP on it. If European military products would be more wide range more money could remain in Europe.
