Rise of Nations is such an awesome game. The interface and game play are complex enough to be interesting, yet not so much as to become cumbersome and overwhelming. A combination of the Age of Empires series and Civilization series with a fun and flavorful twist!
Sami Gami You want a trick how to not die so fast ? keep your time developing. spent your ressources on a little troup of soldier with a general who uses decoys as defensive, and keep progressing. and try to keep some kind of a mini military base as a border checkpoint and slowly raise various defend troups around your territory. also don't forget to build several towers and forst in your town. Helps defending.

Alexda bomb1337 dawg stop saying he only won because of the map. This is one of the hardest maps to play on, you have to watch all sides of your massive island at all times. He won because he lied about it being on hardest haha

Aye. You made a lot of questionable decisions: building a senate and then not picking a government for minutes, building multiple universities when you didn't have enough gold to fill the first one up with scholars, building a granary even though you were at food's commerce limit and didn't have resourced to research next commerce technology, choosing to upgrade your age when you needed to upgrade your commerce cap, building a third city even though you didn't have a temple to take advantage of taxation OR increase commerce cap so you could build more farms. I don't think you're ready for toughest.
But yep! this map to having two different team islands is good idea that way your island gonna be comfortably good enough. With 8 islands floating its very rare u get good island. Yes this is also a map there. Aur merko jahan tak yaad hai..... I have played this map in team battle... there are some part of sea where enemy ships dont usually go..except their roaming light ships ... corners! ...and there lots of fishing ground there ... just put the main ship along with every fishing ship there and u good taking care of their light ship. And u generally need 6-7 fishing ships. Can play bantu this way and use its large population benefit. No need to go for Inca. :) I mean then your population reachs 325 with colossus wonder and peacocks in place which quite easy to build. :) Lets try this ... to check if that's the case.
@@AquaAustic no, I play in tougher but they still attack even we seperate by island (the AI prepare so many ships too) . This video is a scam, the difficulty is not toughest.
Problem with 1 vs 7 is even in big huge map... island size is not that good... every or most part of its reachable from sea through big ships and enemy bombers ships are really dangerous in middle stages. Especially when u cant eliminate them with your own cause of so overwhelming support ships of enemy. So unless u get into stage of having final howitzers most of time u just can't lift the siege. & extreme players are too extreme. So better if u put your forts and towers out of their reach to help in defending your cities from landing enemy troops rather than ultimately getting them destroyed by their fleet. Which u usually have on edges for better defense tactics in team games. Kyunki yeh toh jaan loh with 7 toughest AI investing in ships is simply a resource loss for u in early and middle stages. Sometimes I do especially bunch of light ships but keep them docked inside dock and only bring them out on enemy troops invasion to deplete their forces. Then even if your some or all ships goes down u still better off since u take out most enemy troops at sea itself. And u can save some as well by just docking them again after u finished most of job. ;) I mean thier lot of situational tactics. And fort or towers on edges it all still depends on the situation ....sometimes u still do especially on sides that are less congested if any....but take into consideration the fact that they might get vulnerable to fleets attacks and u simply wud be left with no fort or tower support on your island cause resources are limited especially during initial phase of game. But once your howitzers and jet fighters comes into scene... situation just turn table. Just put some troops infront of howitzers and everything wud be just piece of cake. Then u can easily have space to spawn your own naval fleet too. So what I do is start game 3-4 time and save then choose the best map to carry on out of them. Abey its a typical odds u have to do some simple cheats like this. :) I prefer somewhat square type map not thin island In which some core part away from enemy ships reach. They sure gonna bunch from all sides and in very vast numbers. At start u can kill their ships with seize units and forts and towers and with your own few ships for help but then their bombers ship turn the table to enemy side. Then its good idea to pull back and wait till your at least jet fighters and howitzer comes into scene. Then go however u like. If u have 3-4 cities out of enemy naval fleet reach then u can think of surviving among all 7 toughest odds. Cause u need continuous resources. And in large amounts. And advance fighters are just too good... They very handy tactical force (for all type situations). They really multipurpose unit. Can summon them within sec to any part of map... land sea whatever and they are very good at their work. I usually keep three bases of them 30 or so plus one base of strategic bombers (10). Always fully queued all the time so they automatically make up for lost aircraft. Rest infantry and few howitzers. So world economy (green upgrade) is my first choice of upgrade ... nuke shield being last even if I am continuously getting nuked by the enemy. U just build things away from cities and everything will be fine. Cities just don't get erased in RON ... Of course! unless there nuke don't start concentrating on your wonders instead of cities or they start using fully upgraded nukes of which later is rarest of rare case but not totally out of question though. Being hit by them once. Then u just cant save your cities things ... noway it covers whole city limit. :) But hitting your wonders not that rare...They continuously doing that now a days here. ..dunno what got into them... some machine learning thing or something..... smile And even if I do build terracotta wonder I usually delete it in later stages to make room for some new crucial wonder or cause they just simply dont become nag when I am on verge of full population which u really always are that time. Like if u in fight somewhere on some enemy island and u have to build some howitzer there or any particular unit type and they keep spawning at your base making population limits hits in and they simply useless there. Who gonna ship them there when such fierce battle going on at some distant island. So its good in early and middle stages... help getting good number of free initial force to hit with or defend yourself... but not when final fight begans. Then it becomes serious nag. So hanging garden and terracotta are choice of wonders that I usually delete at later stages.
Yeh badiya hai... hum 1 vs 7 lagaye toughest mode... badey paresaan koi aa nahin raha badi der ho gayi... aur ek red one farzi neutral ho gaya. Pata chala teaming galat kar diye rahe.... woh pata chala jab enemy merchant mere ghar aane lagey! ;) LOL Hum kahe ab takey tak toh ghush jaatey the saale ander tak.... kya baat? 4 wonders bhi bana diye humne exclusive. Woh blue ke chakkar mein team galat ho gayi.... red pe pil gaye 6wo:)
I have beaten them one or two times... not fully but just resigned after I eliminated immediate neighbor and destroyed all their wonders. And destroyed their siege of my island also. Depleted their naval attack I mean. Went into hours battle. I mean after that sex khatam ho jata nahin game ka! Game hai till u fighting them for wonders and all upgrades and getting a comfortable economy and still defending your base from their troops attack same time. Once with all upgrades and all their wonders destroyed useless hai game. Ab capture ke liye toh aapko jaana padega na wahan. Itni baar capture kiya hai ki bore ho gaye hain capture se! :) Bagal waale ko udana padta kyunki agar port your side hoga toh... yahan ship bana aur khopdi pe haazir! :) Anyway maybe this time I am gonna try eliminate every lil sign of them from whole map. Might take some respawn as well of course or maybe I just become lucky this time... or totally unlucky. :) Have played with no capital elimination also but then that makes a battle extremely extremely long. U have to fight every inch of land that too with artificial intelligence upgraded enemies. I actually hate that feature of this game even if it helps u too. Saala stupid ho jata whole game. So we will go with just disabling wonder and territory victory conditions only. So its 1 vs 7 Toughest AI... Lets the globs AI bring hell on me! And Inca the choice this time! ... help with very crucial resource that is gold! ;) I mean with that only u can expect to build some crucial wonders or find resources for even defence. Egyptians and Bantu okay with me too... but lets go with Inca this time... could stream it as well but my internet provider is so bad. BSNL I mean I dont think u can stream with that ISP except deep in night when it goes full speed. inbetween 2 to 6 AM I mean. :) Map: Atlantic Sea Power. (i.e. islands)

Above 4 things gets starting tough I suppose... and vs 7 the ultimate! But then u need to disable wonder and territory victory conditions I suppose... 2nd one doesn't make sense and first quite impossible to achieve... especially when u also dealing 7 aggressive opponents same time.
But what I wanted to see is if somebody has beaten them in all land map... cause I am not very good with shortcut keys or mouse. But seen some ppl here very good at that... and that wud be the crucial skills u need to overcome those stupid 7 'ns in all land map I suppose. Cause every lil thing or time saved counts. :)
guys I have a question, how can I get this game? is like i buy the RoN old dvd and download the upgrade?? or this edition has a separate dvd???? I really need the answer. Thanks
I play in tougher, I use simple hotkey and use Russia so I can make 2nd city fast, make caravan and then research tax but still even I do so, a tougher AI still can lead in early stage. Also the AI in tougher is likely to do small attack in 3rd Age.
Hardcore! Nice to see America's country getting annihilated by a country other than themselves. I don't think t would have been so easy with 8 countries split into teams of two. That's how I role (using pause constantly)
