Additional insights (for each verb, I indicate its imperfective/perfective pair here below): - читать/прочитать (=to read) - слушать/послушать (=to listen) - делать/сделать (=to do) - рассказывать/рассказать (=to tell) - объяснять/объяснить (=to explain) - знать/узнать (=to know) - решать/решить (=to solve) - исправлять/исправить (=to correct) - проверять/проверить (=to check)

I believe the use of imperfective and perfective verb aspect is the most difficult thing to learn in Slavic languages. Even harder than cases, in my opinion.
