@historynerd556 Dear historynerd556, About my comment calling you a reactionary, I will admit that I was quite rude referring to you like that and would like to apologize. But I will also give you the reasons for why I made that comment: When you said that the Bolsheviks killed millions in their first few years, that is undeniably true but you are also twisting the truth to fit your narriative, I would like to point out my first point. You're ignoring the main reason that led to the Reds being able to overthrow the tzar regime which is the war that he participated in where he sent millions of men to their deaths, I know full well that the Bolshevik wasn't perfect, the Ukrainian Famine caused by the New Economic Policy was definitely devastating, repressive policies in many countries within the Iron Curtain, and the later political corruption leading to the demise of the USSR,... but aleast they were a damn lot better than many of the White generals at the time, do you seriously think many of them who was either nobles or crazy tzar loyalists gave half a damn about the common Russian people who was either starving, suffering or dead in the name of some non-existent glory, the main reason the Bolsevik won the civil war was because they had the support of the people, they gave them a chance to fight for themselves against an exploitative, cruel, backward that didn't care about them, even if the Bolshevik eventually became corrupted and lost their ways, it's still important to remember the sacrifice and noble goals they fought for, which is why I disagree with your statement about "Bolshevik ''tyranny"", if the Bolshevik could be consider tyrants then we may as well all go lick Jeff Bezos's boots and prayed that he and our other "masters" feed us some scraps out of their benevolence, writing about this reminded me about a post on Quora where someone answer something along the lines of:”Unfortunatly, the people that the Romanov and the Tsar was ruling over didn’t deserved their rule”, a statement which made my blood boils and an fine example of a filthy monarchist, revisionist statement, but I’m sorry for going off tracks, let us return to the main points. About Wrangel, I don't have anything against the man and he was definitely better than many other Whites officer who was merely bandits with a uniform on, but what I hate about him was everything he represented, what if the Whites won the civil war ? Even if God had a morbid sense of humor and somehow Wrangel defeats the Bolshevik then unified Russia, Russia's problems isn't going to magically fixed itself, the issues about land reform, worker's right, serfdom,... all plauged the Bolshevik early reign, and who caused all of those problems ? Ding Dong, you guessed correctly, it was the the godamn Tzar and his minions, you think Wrangel can fix all of those problems with the swipe of his hand without all of the other Whites stopping him ? If he really cared about the people then he would have sided with the Bolshevik or anyone who didn't want to put the Russian people in chains, him winning would just mean that Russia found itself a new Tzar to tremble under, a new master to obey. But what pissed me of the most is the fact that you said that Lenin was a tyrant, have you ever read a history book or are you just plain dumb and ignorant, what angered me the most about people like you are that you are the kind of people who think that they are a know-it-all but doesn't bother for a fucking minute of their godamn life to actually learn the truth, Lenin's brother was killed by the secret police for suspicion that he was invovled in the assination of the previous Tzar, and they brutally murdered everyone who seems suspicious without clear evidence, can you stop for a momment and think how you would feel if suddenly someone came up to your house and said that their executing your loved ones for treason without any futher explaination and you just have to watch helplessly as they get dragged to be executed. He then spent his entire life fighting to end the Tzar tyranny, risking multiple captures, dangers, exiles to Siberia, having to flee from his Motherland to avoid percecusion, waiting for half a lifetime so that he could get the chance to liberate the his countrymen, and then getting shot and having to slowly die not being able to fully becoming true. Can you said without a doubt that you have achived anything of significance that would match a quarter of his achivement? I will proudly tell you that he is one of humanity greatest hero, he would have achived Marx's dream if not for traitorous, reactionary, imperialist agents who only want to preserve the status quo and keep drowning in their hedonistic, decadent lifestyles while the working man suffers. With all due respect, I belive that everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but let me tell you that I and many others are willing to defend the honor of humanity greatest heros even if we have to give up our lifes, I humbly suggest that you would do well to keep that in mind that and be more courteous about your remarks in the future, as I can not guarantee about others who are more hot headed than me, thank you for spending your precious time to read this. @historynerd556 I see no issue with that, I also want take back any remarks that may have offended you, I always get angry when I see someone talk about something that they obviously don’t know anything about or even worse when they make their own analysis and try to make everyone belive it like it is somehow the undeniable truth, like they somehow are perfect while everyone else aren’t, especially when it is about subjects that shouldn’t be taken lightly or joke about. I can see that we have more in common about our political views than I originally thought, I was under the impression that you were a alt-right, bigoted or capitalist lapdog, and again I would like to sincerely apologize for it, to be frank I am glad that I could have this exchange with you and I am filled with joy to see someone who share the same thought with me about politics in a world inhabited by ignorant people, hypocrites, and demons in human skin. As a devout socialist who wants to see the world that Marx envisioned come true, I respect you for wanting to achive the same thing and being able to stay true to your beliefs in the face of criticisms, a value that is lacking nowadays in people and in leftist groups. I do not mean to defend any atrocities commited in the name of any cause, like the Pol Pot regime, Holodomor or anything else. I would be spitting on Marx’s grave and everything he ever stood for and my own beliefs, I am disillusioned when thinking about will never accept if anyone trivialized it even if they are my closet comrades. And I want to make it clear that I am not defending Lenin or Stalin mistakes, as I am definitely not Stalinist or Leninist, in fact I despise anyone who are a dogmatist and can’t learn from past mistakes. In my opinion, they are the people who are most prone to betray the revolution, who can’t see the true suffering of the people, who are just as tyrannical and willing to shoot their brothers in arm in the back and working with the bourgeoisie as the new oppressor under a new name.
