@Redmanticore
@Redmanticore 7 месяцев назад
 @allenhill1223 it's just showing what is, but sure his commentary is a little biased. in his rush, he did make one mistake which has me worried. he assumed the laptop he showed was Chinese, but 16:11 If it is HP Omen, then it is a high-end gaming PC owned by American company HP Inc. ( Hewlett Packard ) hp, by their own declaration, stopped all business in Russia in 2022. I am sure that isn't officially supported by HP. the logo looks very similar but it was a bit far away so can't be sure. also if it's an Intel Core i9 as he says, depending on the model, it is worth between 300 and 900 euros, it's the highest-end gaming laptop central processing unit (CPU) in the consumer Western market, and those advanced chips could be used on weapons systems if Russia wanted. that also solves the riddle of how Russia can continue to have advanced missiles and weapons systems, they just still use Westerners. their couriers simply deliver them from countries that aren't sanctioned. westerner cargo planes go to, say, South Africa, or Saudi Arabia, and continue to fly to Russia from there. or Kazakhstan and then by truck. I would've really wanted to see more of these laptops and close zoom on their brand names and specs of the computers, maybe we can ask him to go to the store again and do that. I am sure neither government, american or russian, wants to admit it, it is probably embarrassing for both. american gov does not want to admit the sanctions have been totally leaking from day 1, and the russian gov does not want to admit it continues to use Western high-end chips in everything.

IVAN please read this brother, you need to get outa there ASAP. I have had the same feeling as you for a few weeks now, ever since you talked about the Tucker interview. You don't have to go to America immediately, I just really think you should pack up and get outta there any way you can. I've said this a bunch of times but I live in Taiwan where I used to teach English. It is extremely easy to find an English teaching job here. I suggest looking online and start to message people & apply now, but just buy a ticket and come here. I personally can help you find a job as my friend is the boss at the school I used to work at. It's very cheap here, i pay 600 usd a month but I have a wife and two kids so it's a big apartment. You can get one for half that. I know it's a huge decision but it is a great experience and the people, food and culture here is great. Also the weather is flippin hot which may or may not suit you. Either way, you should get out of there within a month tops because I also think the gov is going to crack down on speaking out about this stuff even more than they already have. Good luck bro ❤

Hey Ivan, Evalina and cats! Many US pensioners are finding the government money insufficient to live on for rent and food, so they're switching to vehicle camping. Part of the problem is investing groups have bought a ton of homes and are charging sky-high rents that no one can afford. If they're not able to rent the properties, how do they pay monthly dividends to shareholders? Is it a game they're playing on paper? It doesn't make any sense. Thanks for covering the cost of living and asking the tough questions. Bright blessings and get the heck outta there, guys. Much love from Louisiana. 💖

In America, pensions from a company don't really exist. We do have Social Security for people over the age of 62, and they're usually getting around $800 to $2200/month. Rents alone cost an average these days here of $1000.00/month, maybe less if you live in a shoe box. Americans on Social Security also get what's called Medicare for health coverage but at a deductible for some things. People working here, minimum wage set by most states here, is $15.00/hr. So if an American is making minimum wage, they are getting BEFORE TAXES, about $2,400.00. It's tough here in America too my friend.

I have a friend who is a retired firefighter. His government pension is over USD $14,000 /month. That is a lot of Burger King Combo meals. There is a new pricing for Burger King and Wendys in my area. It is called dynamic market pricing. When there is a line and it is crowded the price increases. When there is no line and it is not busy, the prices drop to close to nothing = USD $0 dollars. This starts on March 1 2024. Prices will be higher at mealtimes. Prices will be lowest in non meal times. Ten pm at night as long as not busy. If too many poor people show up to get a free Burger , the price goes back up. What happens when poor guy buys a burger when no one around? Ten cent Burgers? If so the poor guy can buy 20 burgers at Ten cents each and resell them to his friends at $1.10 each for profit. He would make $20 for just buying the burgers for his friends?

You may not realize this, but most Americans choose to finance (get a loan) their smartphones, too. The minimum wage in the United States, which is paid to many food service or customer service employees, is only $7.25/hour. At 40 hours per week, that's $1160 USD/month before taxes, which means a monthly take-home pay of under $1000 USD for most people working at this wage level.

In america your pension depended on your job and your pension plan. Somebody who worked for the auto workers might expect the better pension than someone who worked as a radiation technician. When my grandmother retired she had a very small pension. That, combined with her social security was not enough to live on. Conversely, when my uncle retired he had enough to live on no problem. He made sure to tell me however that it was small in comparison to his normal salary. My grandmother and my uncle and my mom chipped in to keep the house going with two, then eventually six kids. The thing is pensions are going extinct just like the people who used to have them. Nowadays people put money in their IRA's and 401k's for retirement. And if they have the option and if they are lucky they had investments to fall back on as well.

The IKEA has been there for quite some years but the mall with all the shops is quite a recent construction. It is not in the least bit crap, has two floors and is twice the size of the IKEA. It features a fully covered carpark on the ground floor that occupies the same area as the IKEA store. This is very welcome in summer as that region of Italy gets very warm during the summer months.

The prices of apple stuff are similar as in western Europe. Ofc you can buy less iphones on an average salary in Russia, but that has nothing to do with war or sanctions, it's like that in any country where people have lower income, electronics prices do not scale much with purchase power. What is weird is that the Russian suppliers have to smuggle that stuff into Russia via some 3rd country and still can offer prices that are similar as what it would cost if there were no sanctions.

This stuff seems expensive by Moscow standards so imagine what the rest of Russia lives like. Most Russians outside the cities don’t even have indoor plumbing or natural gas heat. Moscow is the richest part of Russia and they live on like a couple days pay of a US worker and everything in the US costs a little less than what Russians have to pay. Not to mention just look how empty these stores are. Plenty of people in the food court but empty stores everywhere else. Basically in Russia everything costs the same as it does in the US but you 10X less money. It’s a shame Russia could be wealthier than Japan or Germany and could realistically afford to just give all their citizens 25,000$ a year from gas and oil sales like Saudi Arabia and be a frozen paradise for its people but instead they focus on fighting the west and it ends in national collapse every 50 years or so.

To answer your question regarding pension, in USA it is called social security. In my area, average rent is 2000-3000 USD, average social security per month is 1700. So no, in the USA you will not be able to pay rent on pension.

In the USA, we pay for monthly phone and iternet service, and the phone comes free (xfinity). I pay for service for 2-3 years and phones free. Then i trade mine in for newest phone after paid off through service contract. You can buy your phone for $900-$1,200, and get no service if you want. But i need service, so i pay for it and my phones free. I think i have a Samsung S21 +, but im not even sure. We have 5 in the family, and idk who has what anymore. But all are Samsung and it's like $60 a month for the families 5 phones and service.

Verizon gave me $799 credit for my old zFlip3 that barely worked and at the sametime had zFlip5 ($1000 phone) on sale for $799. They also gave me a Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE a $450 Tablet for free for adding a second line which cost $10/mo for it. Verizon is just giving amazing electronics away for free when in Russia you gotta sell a kidney to be able to buy this stuff.

I don't see how taking out a loan to buy a vacuum cleaner is any different from using a credit card. It's not a picnic here in US either right now - taxes went up, housing costs went up, food and car insurance all went up. Plenty of people here who can't afford an iMac or an iPhone either while working two jobs. Russia's under sanctions but somehow it feels like it's backfiring.

Social Security in the USA.... average around 1500 dollars a month... They take out of that though medicare ( medical insurance for over 65) about 150.00 per month.... You can survive but not in a big city like NYC, LA or Miami.. Smaller cities you can live in your own home but you have to budget... There are a lot of giveaway programs, food bank, yearly reduction for heating check that helps those in need.. Some who get less monies per month like (disability SSI) for them it much harder to live alone..Some people live in a federal high rise apartment and get a greatly reduced cost in their rent paid by the government..A lot over 65 still work part time to be able to afford goodies like an iPhone or MacBook.( the samsung phones and PC laptops are much cheaper here in USA)..I hope you and Elena get out of town soon..Stay safe...❤

ivan, so if you work your entire life, you can get between $500 to $4000 USD per month. depending on where you live in the USA, it can go far or not make it for a month. Places like New York and California will be more expensive. Places like Texas or the southern USA will be less expensive. I have a few friends in Moscow and some in the regions and are pretty cool. I always wondered how much a professional salary was in like the steel mills of Nizhniy Tagil or Novokuznetsk.

The age pension in Australia is $550 per week for a single and $826 per week for a couple. Pretty hard to live on here in a capital city, especially if you don't own your own home. There are rent supplements to help people pay rent up to a maximum of $90 per week plus some other supplements. Food and electricity are expensive but even Australian pensioners are much much better off than Russian ones.

Not many businesses have pensions these days. If you don’t contribute to 401k or set up an IRA, you depend on Social Security. Government workers, military, defense contractors, unions, teachers, nurses, and some others might still get pensions. A UPS driver can get $4,400 a month.

Dear friend, in the capitalist world, not everyone has the money to afford expensive imported devices. People often resort to loans or credit cards, leading to household debt in Western countries like the United States, Germany, and France. So, it's essential to carefully consider the ideas you express.

In my country, Portugal, which has an average GDP PPP per capita similiar to Russia's (albeit a bit higher), everyone I know, who belongs to the low or average middle class (like myself), buy all the stuff you mention in your video on credit. The lower class people, with an averag income of less than 1,000 €/monthly, can never afford that stuff. Last but not the least: we are not subject to any sanctions but we import a lot more stuff than we export. That's why that, unlike Russia, our National Debt is startospheric and hampers the full development of our society at large. I doubt it very much that in most European countries people can actually buy 2,000€ fridges or 2,500€ laptops or 1,500€ Iphones without resorting to credit or, for that matter, being through leasing or a regular credit, buy even a small family car like the Clio (about 20,000€, at least). And I won't even bring up the question of housing...
