Russian Forces Shocked! Dozens of Swedish CV90 IFVs Secretly Already in Ukraine 

As a Norwegian I am proud of our Swedish neighbor despite our adversarial relation at times. I mean they help all of is Nordics look good ;-) It is crazy how long Sweden has been punching way about their weight in military terms. In the 1700s Sweden made more than HALF of all cannons in Europe. Sweden was a feared power on the battle field. Russia feared Swedish power despite the country having less than 1/10 the population of Sweden. When Sweden invaded Russia they kept winning battle after battle with 4-1 odds against them, but the Caroleans were an incredible fighting force. A form of storm troops which relied on winning battles by rushing enemies and getting into fierce close combat action. Usually in Norway it counts negative to be an immigrant when you get considered for hire. But not for Swedes. It is the opposite. A Norwegian employer would want to hire Swedes above Norwegians. They are known as really dedicate, organized, polite and high performers. We are a bit more anarchist slackers in Norway ;-D

Sweden has a reasonably large amount of heavy modern equipment compared to the amount of soldiers. I hate Socialism but this equipment comes from the economic corporation between the country state and the privately owned military complex. As one Canadian RU-vidr said (slightly in jest): Swedish soldiers don't have to walk.

Think you must have confused them with Finland. ;) But they had a strong army doing the Cold War. But their air and naval capabilities are impressive, and over all they make some great stuff.

Yes, it will be interesting. The CV90 has not really been battle tested, other than a few fights in Afghanistan. It is claimed that the 40 mm cannon with the swedish APFSDS can penetrate over 150mm of panzer steel.
