@@angoose651 Last night I had a dream that this RU-vid channel that we are commenting on the video of was owned by someone named "Doctor" something and he was older and fully human but then he died somehow and then another popular RU-vidr in my dream, Captain Disillusion, took over the channel for him and I started getting suspicious that they were the same person the entire time and the original channel owner never died but just merged the two channels after faking his death and then I woke up and remembered that the Doctor character in my dream never existed and the owner of the channel in my dream was Alan Melikdjanian when in my dream I had a lot of confusion on which of these to people were named Melikdhanian but now everything is settled. I still don't remember who I thought the other RU-vidr was that originally owned the channel but I do remember that he had less experience with VFX than Captain Disillusion did which is what partly fueled my suspicion in my dream. Basically, I dreamed that someone else was the face of this channel and had died to be replaced by Captain Disillusion.
Captain D got into this tangent about how good Apartheid would be in the U.S and its benefits, only to suddenly pin me down and reveal himself to be an FBI Agent, arresting the camera. All to find out that Captain D is actually a character living in a society where sentient cameras with bodies, or Cinematics, live amongst humans, yet are segregated away from the more progressive humans, all because most of them are figuratively and literally outdated, though some exceptions have been shown. Still doesn't mean these young Cinematics weren't brutally bullied for the actions of their family. There was this one Cinematic, Amelie, who was related to her great grandparents, who were there when that Redwood Massacre happened. It was dark, yet interesting. What did you car folk talk about with Captain D?
You know what's great about these videos? The quality has pretty much always been so good that you can watch the new and old ones and you wouldn't even know what one was old
I can’t believe I just found this channel two days ago! I’ve been bingeing the videos in random order, and you’re right - the quality is top notch from the beginning.
At 3:23, CD says “it only takes a few feet for something to go from tiny to full screen”, and he illustrates this point with . . . a few feet moving a few feet. Brilliant!
I can't explain why, but this guy is so damn intriguing! Makes me feel like a bright-eyed kid on Saturday morning watching my favorite show with a bowl of soggy cereal.
He's so underrated. An unbelievable amount of effort and talent crammed into each one of these videos. It's amazing he can tell exactly how it happened, it's even more brilliant on how he's able to explain it to the layman. Seriously disturbing how he doesn't have more exposure.
One of these days, I really want to see an in-depth video about how everyone's favorite Captain Disillusion came to be. How he came to enjoy debunking various video-related things, and how he came up with his brand. I'd watch that.
@@ganeshprasad9851 I found an article here : countrydigest.org/what-continent-is-russia-in/ Sorry, but English is not my mother language, so I can't understand "Stalingrad never lost to those bloody Germans".
Don't worry, happens in the US as well. I've been nearly ran over by a guy who turned LEFT into me when their light wasn't even allowing them to turn left. That's especially bad because normally, I'm worried about people who turn RIGHT into me because they're only looking left for cars and not looking right for pedestrians... But that guy had to cross the whole intersection to stop 2 feet away from me in the middle of traffic that he wasn't even allowed to cross.
a ton of applasuse for cap d, for translating this mess at 4:17, because as a russian speaking person, i hear only "i memnin tam takih strashk netu, беспорядок (besporyadok)". although end is translated correctly
"-Administered by the new world order brought on by the illuminati." * Hears the government knocking at the door * "Now I'm afraid it's time for me to go kids!"
How did anyone manage to decipher their mumblings in the car before the accident? I'm Russian and I listened to it five times, but all I heard was "mfmhmdtfsh".
+Svetlana Albanskaya I've picked up a few words, the rest is a garbled mess. Also there appears to be some some sort of local accent. But my Russian has fallen out of practice, so someone that lives there might have a better chance.
I've listened to it too many times, and I was able to decipher this "...дальше поехать, там ХХХ нету, все сигналят друг другу, порядка никакого"... Still can't tell what that XXX word is, sounds like "...стралов" to me and I can't make sense of it let alone connect it to "signs" somehow. But in any case, this piece of dialog is a very thin straw. She could be talking about traffic in Georgia for all we know.
In each country region & street districts of our country there are random traffic lights designs. Very bad work of our department. F**k up every time they make new s**t going.
...It is an arrow. It's just that the camera is so shitty and the conditions are so bad that the light from the traffic light and the light from the arrow are just one big indecipherable glare. Also, because the traffic light seems to be an old model, with just a green lightbulb and a tinted glass window, instead of more modern multiple light-diode traffic lights. I'm from Russia if you doubt my knowledge of the foreign traffic light shapes, btw :3
My favorite part is the care in the captions. "Thanks Illuminati! :3" [Undescribable Illuminati talk while D turns into a reptilian] "Thanks Tostitos® by FritoLay!"
Definitely not in germany, we have arrows. Both traffic lights glowing in the shape of an arrow (turn in that direction, nobody is allowed to get in your way) as well as the rare green arrow signs (You may turn in that direction, usually right, at a red light if you're not getting in anybody's way)
We freaking do use arrows in Russia, but the overall video is blurred. Also the arrow is often backlit by the same type of the bulb that is installed in the main green light (the majority of the traffic lights in Russia used lightbulbs & not LEDs until pretty much 2014)
Dude, how the hey have I never heard of you!? This channel is darn awesome, I LOVE your editing skills and overall style of these videos! Definitely unique and different, you REALLY deserve more views/subscribers.
@@MizaT11 I just really dislike people substituting words for cuss words, when they are conveying the same meaning. Why say darn, when you’re obviously meaning to say damn?
Please make this a more regular thing! If you hunt around on the weird side of RU-vid there's some oddly convincing stuff, even to a skeptic. Can they *all* be BS?
Some of those videos are professionally made, for movies or adverts, and they are very good. People then take the videos, remove some parts, shuffle other parts around, make up weird histories for them, and post them. Then, you see a very convincing video, supposedly created with a phone camera, and it never occurs to you that it was made by a well funded team of professionals.
Lorenzo Benito " for movies or adverts" I just want to point out that if something isn't being obviously advertised, it's likely the artists themselves being advertised. It's not uncommon for under-employed professionals in this over-saturated field to try to get attention from viral videos, which they can point to when applying for jobs, or the video itself can sometimes even lead to job offers.
Lorenzo Benito True. But you can only take VFX so far. Shaky cell phone footage is nearly impossible to motion track and match blur. Maybe it's like magicians though, debating how they did it is half the fun.
Aunt Jemima Is it really? I have no experience editing video, but it seems to me that if the shakier the footage is, the harder it becomes for the human to differentiate the shaking caused by the camera from the shaking caused by the video editor not doing it right.
Yep, they are all BS. Know why? Cuz youtube pays for the hits and views you get, so the better your fake is the more viewers you will get and the more MONEY you get. Always follow the money, an old cop trick I learned when I was a fake cop.
Just met the channel thanks to mark rober, and you channel is simply amazing! So well written and entertaining. This internet discovery really made my day! s2
Always wanted to know the exact way this was done. Glad I recently found your channel! Watched about 20 vids in 2 days. Super addicting and I’m trying to figure out your actual relationship with Holly. Like a running subplot to every new video
The captain amazes at so many levels. Simply awesome technology. Cringe nerdy delivery. It blows my mind. I have never seen such an awesome delivery with such a humble delivery. I am in awe.
The cool part about finding a cool youtuber that has been making videos for 10 years is that there are so many old videos to watch while you wait for new uploads. Good god I'll be entertained for ever!
Just found this incredible channel about 3 days ago This is the exact kind of video I wanted to watch when I first heard of RU-vid. Underrated is an understatement 2021
The reason it doesn’t look like anyone’s driving the car is because in Europe the driving wheel is on the other side, and because it was raining the window fogged up slightly.
+StYxXx It has arrow too, I suppose it's just crappy videoquality so it looks like just a green spot. At leat this is how it looks pddmaster.ru/img/title/title100910.jpg no any fancy shapes
Oop' I'm late. Anyways, the guy that was running from the cops did not teleport though the fence, he did ran into it, but the bottom of the fence was not bolted/fixed properly. (There is already a video that debunked this, I believe it was a news channel that did that) but anyways, he just ran into the fence, I guess he knew about it or didn't care since a fence like that can't stop a 1k+ pound car traveling at 30+ miles. So when the car was all the way through the fence closed back up.
Captain D, thanks for another video! And welcome to Russia. I’m looking forward to see more. As your saying goes: “Любите всем сердцем, а в остальном полагайтесь на голову!”
After watching this debunk of the russian ghost car I don't even feel the need to ever watch another debunk video about it and that's how I know it's good.
