Poland didn't even manage to mobilize in time, the Polish army in 1939 could field 1.5 million men, but only 900,000 fought, Germany had almost 2 million men at the front.

There is hundreds and hundreds of boxes of uniforms, ammunition, guns ect. If Soviet Union made those bunkers in Ukraine why wouldn’t they make them in Russia? Anyways the point is that that kind of soldier equipment is very cheap and in excess amount in militarized countries such as Russia and Ukraine.

That's just the estimates, I'd just say their equal for now. If the gap increases, it would be safer to say they do, but right now, not so much.

@@MorgenTheGreat The Ukrainians have way lower casualties there, by how much is unknown, you can find anything between a 1:1,5 to 1:6 Ratio. What they did is pretty much just absorbing russian firepower until they get shortages in men and ammunition. If the Ukrainians are most likely not much better trained, as there is and wasn't much time to do training, but as the defender, they naturally have higher morale to protect their family, than just for because President forced me to fight.

Not a single country agreed to protect ukraine if they were invaded. The agreement was that if ukraine gave russia it's nuclear weapons russia wouldn't invade ukraine. No one said that they'd protect them if they were invaded.

Russia has reportedly already reached 200,000 casualties. Russians seem to outnumber Ukrainians around 2:1 based on recent estimates. The numbers aren't really that clear though.

@ahola3208 1: not all of those 43 million people are suitable to become soldiers (like children woman and people that aren't fit for service.) They only have 15 million people fit for service many of which have to do other things other than fighting on the Frontline. 2: they don't even have enough equipment for 1,000,000 soldiers 3: you still haven't given me a source that says they have 1,000,000 soldiers.

For a rocket, it makes no difference where to fall and who to kill, 1 soldier or 500. On the battlefield, everything is decided not by the number of soldiers, but by equipment and weapons

The numbers are just estimates. They're too close together to come to a conclusion like this, so for now, it's about the same. It wouldn't really matter either way since a 10 000 troop difference is insignificant when both sides have close to 350 000.
