Police arrested a man for holding up a blank piece of white paper on Sunday in Novosibirsk, Russia.
The police officers asked the protester to produce his documents, and after checking them said that “all public activities on the territory of Novosibirsk region, including single-person pickets, in other words what, as I understand you are doing right now, are prohibited.”
As the protester kept holding up the piece of white paper two police officers dragged him away.
Police detained more than 4,300 people on Sunday at Russia-wide protests against President Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine, according to an independent protest monitoring group.

@nerd2544 7 месяцев назад
As an outsider i have no idea why you guys and also Shenzhen have a specially large anti-CCP/more liberal population than other citizens when most of China's population are fine with them and enjoying prosperity and growth only the CCP can provide. I am not saying the Urumqi fire last year (and following actions) was not the CCP's mistake, because they have indeed made a lot of mistakes especially in COVID, but the CCP is a lot better than any western government or the russian government (probably the best, most efficient, and actual "government" serving the people in power right now, instead of western and russian elites and lazy politicians in most foreign governments), no other party could have ever done what they did to grow China into the superpower it is today; and China recovered the best from COVID easily in just 1 year and went back to normal while the US was still having thousands of deaths every day. you have complaints about holding the CCP accountable but I believe they need to maintain peace, stability and censorship for societal reason, while foreign governments censor and arrest simply to shut the people up and make their lives miserable while they enjoy their wealth and power (see France and the US, they protest and protest but for what? police terrorize citizens, cities burn in riots, the government lies and censors and just gets stronger and does nothing to make up for it while their whole country degrades).

@@XBret64 I was arrested at 5:30 pm and held until midnight. When you are arrested, you find yourself in a special paddy wagon. Everything inside is made of metal, there are bars on the windows and cramped benches. It quickly begins to fill up and there are trying to accommodate more people than is possible. In addition to the protesters, there are absolutely random people like me. The police treated us very aggressively. Constantly asked to remove the phones from the hands. After that, you will be taken to the police station where you are treated with the utmost disdain. They Violate all your possible rights and freedoms. They make you take a picture of your face, take your fingerprints, make you unlock your phone, etc. They take pictures to replenish the databases of city cameras with face recognition, now I am constantly under surveillance. When they forced to unlock the phone, they wrote down its IMEI so that it could be tracked. I have already changed my phone to another one, and I gave them false personal data. They interrogate you, and then they charge you with a copy-paste accusation that you shouted slogans and did not listen to the police, although I just walked along the street and briefly stopped to photograph what was happening. You are manipulated, threatened that they will leave you for the night if you do not do what they say. After 5 hours in this, you already agree to everything just to leave quickly. After that, you are assigned a trial in a week or two. I spent 12 hours in the courthouse only to find out that I was sentenced without my participation. All the laws of even the Russian Federation are violated, and not just common sense

@@XBret64 This can be either a simple fine or from 5 to 15 days of administrative arrest. But this is just the tip of the iceberg. You have a high cance of being fired (especially if you work in the budget or govermental institution) or if you a student, then you'll be expelled from the university. So police is not the worst thing here. These people can steal your future which is much worse than 15 days in SIZO.
