Kremlin propaganda doesn't have enough time to bed in over Kamala. Biden has played them well. Even better if Michelle Obama becomes the candidate at the last second, but I doubt that will happen.
You've mentioned this growth etc but I don't know what they expect to be underneath the froth. Could you at least attempt to clarify? Authoritarianism? Autocratic government? Governments completely dissolved?
@@ninemoonplanet it’s that underneath the froth you will discover, they think, that Canada is really no different from Hungary. We may call one a lapsed democracy and the other a still functioning democracy, but that’s largely a difference of rhetoric. They claim.
Agreed. If you are on line long enough the bad faith commenters pop out very hard. Even if they are being subtle you instantly know where they are going.
That's exactly the attitude that gets us further and further away from world peace - and it's not Putin or Xi Jinping that are to blame, it's the genocide supporting West that loves not even to listen to others in self-righteous arrogance, imo.
@@thehunzz The Russian propaganda puppets clearly showed something different though. They are _not_ fond of Harris. Not at all. Which makes sense, given her ideas on NATO and military aid. But _again,_ you knew that already.
@@VladVexlerChat Especially if talk of replacing him being whispered around the Trump camp is true. JD has found himself firmly on the starboard side of the boat Nikki Haley is sinking on, who is now by the way trying to sue her own supporters because they want to support Harris for being stabbed in the back by her. Makes perfect sense right?
You have to remember they aren't *all* Russian bots. there are A LOT of useful idiots, but probably more importantly there are real people who actually believe those things. They are the ones that are in need of the most care.
I find the American left the most puzzling. It's almost as if they have been sold the primacy of their country so successfully that they can't see the limitations of the US at all. The irony of their support for fascism is utterly lost to them.
Don't know what to say except that listening to your thoughts reminds me that there are many sane and reasonable people in the world and that social media has a tendency to give the crazies more exposure. Thanks Vlad.
Thank you so much. Chats like this are terribly unproductive in the algorithm but they are the heartbeat of the Chat channel and slow down people's thinking constructively.
The root of misogyny being intolerance towards the feminine within is intriguing. I've long thought it a fault rooted in defining manhood in contrast to womanhood, instead of in contrast to childhood.
The system over there really is south park quality, you didn't get much choice. Congrats on being able to go against your beliefs to prevent the bigger evil though. Not everyone is aware of what's at stake.
im waiting dems pull big ace: biden resigns 1month before term end and Kamala can be president for a while. They still have this ace in sleeve. Prof Gerdes meme(he told) of putin and xi discussing what is resigning is exactly how western democratic system can pull rug under them. without confidence dictatoriships are weak. they get confidence when west is systematic, very predictable when that is not whole story. (im not favoring Kamala or any other candidate but seeing these hilarious reactions now would make it worth it)
Wait, who is they? The Russian trolls or the actual citizens? Yes, the citizens themselves are freaking out because not a single Democratic Party primary voter voted for Harris (not to mention, she was so unpopular that she dropped out of the 2020 primary with 1% estimated Democrat support). But I guess that’s A.O.K. with those who are still registered Democrats, because those of us who are concerned with corruption left the party after the 2016 and 2020 corrupted primaries. Now the party is trying to overcome the obvious issue of having not certified in Ohio, by “changing rules,” as you so gleefully and undemocratically state. It is revealing how you are so vengeful regarding Trump, that you disregard actual disenfranchised Democrats. Russian trolls don’t even need to spread their cheesy memes to create “chaos,” as the Democratic Party has dived head-first into authoritarianism. I.e., “With friends like these…” Anyway Russia covering all bases, as they and China sense weakness, as evidenced by their first ever joint skirting of U.S. airspace.
My daughter's ears popped up when you said something to the effect that 'men's intolerance to their female side causes them to think derisively about women's strength or ability generally to be as good as men'...more or less. Well I did not know she was listening. Then she asked me to send your video to her. That was pleasing to me. My daughter is in her 40's.

Putin made up this story about "preferring Biden" only after Russian enthusiasm began to be noticed in the West. If you don't believe the Russians prefer trump listen to them complain about Harris now that she is seriously threatening trump.

It's not so much that Biden dropped out. Trump's campaign and propagandists considered the possibility that this might happen. It wasn't entirely unexpected. They are having more issues with the fact that so far it has been handled smoothly. How well it has gone pretty much surprised everyone. I think they expected the chaos of trying to nominate a new candidate was gonna do the job for them.
I think thats because the Democrats are working as a party for the party, where the Republicans are working for Trump. If Trump drops out their campaign fails.
@PjRjHj I don't think it's astroturf so much as it is relief that we don't have to do 2020 all over again. I'm not a die-hard democrat (in fact, I'm a fairly serious critic of the dems) but I'm genuinely motivated and excited about what happened this past week. The dems executed the lateral pass flawlessly, and I think it got a lot of people genuinely excited. I'd love to criticize the dems like I usually do, but I can't.
Looking at mental and physical abuse by men against women must be also part of this important discussion. There are deep wounds that too often are completely ignored, but they are there. In a culture such as Russia where alcoholism is rampant, it would be ludicrous to think that such abuse is a minor problem.
I traveled to the Soviet Union as a teen in the 1980's. One thing I learned was that the USSR lost so many men in WWII (and from Stalin's purges) that older Russian women didn't have sympathy for younger Russian women trapped in abusive marriages. They'd tell them "At least you have a man!" A man, any man with a pulse, was a prize for a generation stripped of their menfolk. I also learned how normalized domestic violence was when my roomate and I in our hotel room could hear the woman in the next room being beaten and the man screaming at her and her body hitting the walls and things breaking, even while we didn't understand Russian. We called the front desk to report it and get help for the woman and held the phone up so that the attendant could hear what we were hearing. They couldn't have cared less. They told us that it was the couple's private business what they did in their room. We were kept up all night listening to the assault. It was a harrowing experience as my roomate and I were 16 year old girls. Yes, you can find this pathology in the United States. The surprise was the total lack of response and any concern. "Deep Wounds" is the operative phrase and I believe you are correct.

Such elation over JD Vance so quickly dissipated as his irrelevance became clear. Their sure thing is now a maybe. Very unsettling for people dependent on a sense of control.
The selection of Vance exposes where the R's felt vulnerable. Nothing more. For example, the RNC convention was held in WI and the DNC will be in OH. It's old political gymnastics in the US...build your campfire as deep in enemy territory as possible to unnerve them.

All this story of the Western decline and moral decay put into service of Kremlin political goals seems to me disastrously Russian in its essence. Its roots lie far back in the Russian past, the Times of Troubles, Godunov and the likes. So this has been deeply rooted into the Russian collective subconsciousness, In a sense Jungian. You were talking about this dark side of the collective Russian soul. I experienced it in the years 1999-2011 in Russia during the best times of Putin's Russia. When heard then one Russian child back from the nursery repeated a slogan learned there "Da zdrastvuet Putin" (Long live Putin) I understood the future was bleak. It was 1999.

Its true - and quite Jungian. The inability or unwillingness to integrate the contra-sexual elements within a person is what drives the sexism. And then it’s projected outwards. It’s really the only logical way to think of how the mind works. And he’s also talking about an image based pre-language! this is also entirely true too. I mean, this is probably what babies have but certain there is a visual proto-language within us. It’s why memes work among other things. It operates at the tacit level. You can deny it all you want but you can’t find it if you look for it, but you can see its effect on people. I’m very glad Vlad said this !
While this rings true, it makes female sexism (against women) more difficult to explain. I think the denial of male femininity is a factor, but there must be other factors (trauma? Evolutionary advantage?).
Please, be careful with Baumeister. He is Ukrainian, but he has resentment of the collapse of the Great(as he thinks) USSR. His mentality of a Ukrainian, but with a russian view, russian language and glorification of the russian imperial culture. Everything that comes in the russian language - not a Ukrainian point of view ourselves. We have some speakers that don't know anything about Ukraine or even russia in the complex.
This is not a truthful post. Baumeister and I have very different views on many questions, and as with anybody as online as he is you have to watch for changes in their message, but his view until now of Putin's project is that it has nothing to offer except violence, that it is imperialism, and that it is evil.

With Baumeister my answer holds for six months ago, as I haven’t seen his videos recently. Another part of your message I don’t recognise is that Baumeister resents the collapse of the USSR. Baumeister is right wing and he thinks the USSR was a disastrous tyranny. Please criticise his views as bad but you need to be more accurate.
Thank you for your response. I just want to clarify something. Many people are not familiar with the Ukrainian language, which can make it difficult to fully understand our national issues and long-standing tragedies. That's why it's important to critically assess what some Ukrainians may say about global matters. Especially when they speak Russian in public. Baumeister has a circle of friends like Arestovich that are trully believe in some project «Ukraine-Rus'» and want to implement like a political movement or even make some kind of country. While much of what they say might be true or reflect a democratic viewpoint, it's essential to recognize that it may come with a certain bias or perspective. So be cautious, my friend. Why the difficulty with women??? Wtf . Why are we always putting ourselves and others down with actions that are beneath us. It reminds me of the two ronnies skit - the worm turned. Riduliculllllous
Thanks Vlad for the more nuanced presentation of the laughter "issue". I still think it makes her come across as a person capable of joy which no one would ever say about the smirking and sneering Trump. But with the expanded comments I get what you are speaking to.
I agree with you @youtubewatcher2. I was initially very disappointed with Vlad's criticism of Kamala's laughter because so often women's laughter is demeaned so as to dismiss them. I appreciate this broadening of his remarks.
I always find it interesting, I love understanding how different cultures work. There are men, close acquaintances of mine, who feel oppressed by women. It's almost as if you can see the inner child upset with mom. It's comical because we live in a very masculine world. I've experienced situations at work where people ignored a more experienced female colleague and only asked me questions. I feel like there is a form of resentment among some men for being treated, in their view, as disposable and women as precious. In fact, we think carefully before sending a woman into danger. There's this idea of "men's jobs" and "women's jobs". Regarding Kamala, I notice that she laughs to calm the situation, which is generally seen as shyness. However, there are other things in her favor, she has a very feminine energy that is not seen in all women. The archetype of a mother who is a source of comfort and warmth is very strong, even the hardest of hearts cannot resist it. There are no people more despised by society than those who attack a mother.
Nothing new whatsoever. There were lots of rumors back in 2020-2021 that Biden was not gonna be able to continue as president until the end of his first term and that Harris would then replace him as a presidential successor. So Harris’ elevation has been widely expected.
I've heard of nor seen Russian propaganda against the Kamala. Previous accusations of Russia propaganda in the United States turned out mostly without having merit. If you find any, it's rare. I have no idea what he's talking about
Vlad, a lot of people don't know that the Stalinist USSR had a "Thoughts of Stalin" that NKVD people who wanted to rise used to learn. Just like Mao's red book. The God bothering aspect of modern Russia is a replacement for that. To see that you must read "I Chose Freedom" by Victor Kravchenko. It shows where Russia is going.
It's important that men accept their feminine side, but this needs to be a part of a broader framework or it will just become toxic in a different way. More generally, all real things need to be treated as potential good. Maybe good that isn't worth the cost of extracting in some cases, but the good is there none the less. If we don't look at this within that broader context, then men's feminine side will simply be used as a tool to try and dominate the masculine. In my opinion, we are already seeing this in the feminist movement. Actually on both sides, where women are seen as needing to be more masculine at the cost of femininity, and men are seen as needing to become more feminine at the cost of their masculinity. Because the issue is not the discrepancy, it's the amount of objectively lost potential. Potential good extracted from a place where much already is being harnessed is worth no less than good from a place where there is barely any good recognized. (Diminishing returns are a thing, but it's not that important since we'd quickly figure it out anyway if we genuinely desired to extract maximum good) This is in my opinion the ultimate driving force behind all modern western social problems. The moment that equality became the goal rather than simply moving in the correct direction is the moment that we decided that good wasn't good enough. Unsurprisingly we are in short supply of it now. And even worse, we have less functional diversity with which to draw apon in order to resist these forces and parallel problem solve. And if you want to retort that good is subjective, you really should ask yourself why you bothered to retort at all.
