There are a lot of russian comments saying this, so i will translate the general idea to english: 'NEVER underestimate Russain winter. Or winter weather in general'. You are too lightly dressed for this weather. And i know it can feel relatively warm but weather can change in a matter of minutes. I've learned it the hard way by getting a really bad ear infection because of hypothermia. It took me three months to recover my hearing and i had to give up on scuba diving (my hobby at a time) cuz now my eardrums became much more sensitive to pressure changes. So ALWAYS wear a hat during winter. Not a baseball hat, but something that will protect your head and ears from the wind and cold. Wear clothes in layers. So you can remove a layer if its too hot or quickly add another one if its getting colder. Keep an old sweater in a bag in your car trunk. And dont forget to keep track of your body temperature during cold months. Especially nose, ears and fingers. If they are turning pale and numb you are risking permanent damage and amputation. Winter weather can be deceiving. Stay safe. P.S.: Please upvote so he can notice this.

I’m shocked at Americans’ ignorance. By any chance do you know that Novosibirsk is a very modern, beautiful and progressive city? It’s one of the biggest cities in Russia, 3rd largest city to be more precise. Siberia isn’t only primal forests, taiga and wild nature, for crying out loud. It’s the most populous city in Siberia and Asian Russia, with a population of 1,612,833 as of the 2018 census. Novosibirsk grew bigger and bigger thanks to the Trans-Siberian Railway. It’s a network of railways connecting Western Russia to the Russian Far East. It is the longest railway line in the world, with a length of over 9,289 kilometres (5,772 miles), starting from the capital Moscow, the largest city in Europe, and ending at Vladivostok, on the Pacific Ocean. Novosibirsk grew rapidly into a major transport, commercial, and industrial hub. Under the leadership of Joseph Stalin, Novosibirsk became one of the largest industrial centers of Siberia. Following the outbreak of World War II, the city hosted many factories relocated from European Russia. Novosibirsk is home to the headquarters of numerous Russian corporations, the neo-Byzantine Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, as well as the world-renowned Novosibirsk Zoo. It is served by Tolmachevo Airport, the busiest airport in Siberia.

Absolutely! I've stayed in many towns within the UK but couldn't find any good tea display in stores. I mean here un Russia we believe that tea's hometown is England and to my surprise I've discovered that we drink way more tea in comparison with the UK. Besides, it's much better quality cause we don't mix it up with milk. Mostly we prefer lemon tea, herbal ones or pure black in leaves. Tea bags are believed to be trash so that we prefer consuming tea leaves. I pick mint in my garden, dry and add the leaves to the tea pot. So that my black tea mixes up with mint flavour and smells and tastes absolutely amazing.)

My advice to you from an experienced driver from Russia:in winter before going anywhere if the engine is cold you need to start the engine and let it idle for 5-10 minutes. This will significantly increase the engine life. Engine oil in a cold engine does not perform well its function; it needs to warm up to its operating temperature.

So I am not sure exactly what you are talking about. Maybe in a place in the middle of nowhere with just a Walmart store or a Dollar store there is less variety. Oh, this is propaganda! In Russia, it is very full-fledged, not without problems, of course. So medicine is free. I am now on sick leave, I was referred to a gastroenterologist on the same day, an ultrasound examination was scheduled for a week and a fibrogastoscopy 10 days later. Before that, they did a blood test for 15 indicators and an ECG. Also, I often apply for a fee, as it is inexpensive and immediately. Sick leave is paid to me 100 of my salary. Also, my relative underwent spinal cord surgery quickly and well during the month of waiting with the replacement of a vertebra with a titanium one (it did not work) and for another, several eye surgeries are free. We have a vacation of 28 days and many holidays. My mother and I have 2 months since she is a teacher, and I am a certain doctor. @@user-pm8je4fo7e I lived Odessa Ukraine (USSR). Stores were empty, milk was diluted and sold via milk truck with a big tank in the back. My parents connection was a meat delivery guy. He would deliver meat to stores. The way it worked was like this. His empty refrigerated delivery truck would be strapped with 50 plus kilos of scrap metal. When he’s enter the meat distribution facility, he would weigh his truck “empty” them proceed to get filled up with meat for stores. This meant he could take on 50lbs of meat he could sell on the side. The meat that got to the stores was prevails or stolen before it would even get to the display case. This is how everything worked there. Now it’s different. The bazars always had food, but it was way more expensive.

The only bad thing about GMO is that seed producer can make plants infertile, so farmers have to buy seeds from them over and over. The most fruits and vegetables you know could be considered as gene modified because they were bred by selection over centuries.

@evilbabai7083
@evilbabai7083 2 года назад
@@x1m7ntq5w um, no, because as far as I know no one has intentionally bred certain human over generations to get a particular genetic traits in a specimen. But that's what breeders do with animals, so basically yeah, Holstein Friesians cow or Border Leicester sheep are pretty much had their genes modified in a certain way to get the required livestock and commercial value. GMO in general does the same, except it doesn't requires generations over generations to achieve the result, yet there is a possibility to insert the genes that could've otherwise naturally occur in the organism with a chance of a wandering black hole hitting the Earth, but even in worst scenario there would be no harm to human consuming GMO products (unless GMO results the product containing unwanted chemical compounds), because our digestive system is physically unable to transfer any generic material from the food into our body - when you recycle books into a fuel bricks, the information contained in them won't effect the end product in any way. In order for GMO to be safe, it should meet the general safety requirements and that's it - the danger of GMO is in how it's used, not how it's made, same as all-natural or selected/bred organisms. If you look deeper, the only difference between those instances evolution-wise is time required for certain gene to emerge.

I see a lot of comments from native Russians about inappropriate dress for the weather. I live in Michigan where it can get quite cold and when I was much younger it was highly recommended to have an emergency kit in your car in case one got stranded in the cold. That kind of thinking no longer registers. Especially young people are used to the comfort and security of their cars to protect them and emergency vehicles or friends arriving promptly so they dress for the distance between house and car and car and store. Otherwise they feel overdressed. They don't walk a lot in the elements. In Russia I think prudence still reigns.
