They are also being used for anti mining and usually have the groups anti drone electronics on it so it keeps going no matter what, before you just hit the upgraded tank and after the rest were open to drone attacks. If the drones can't beat the turtle they can't attack the others in the group because of jamming. Almost like a carrier battle group.

Idea is simple, this shell prevent drones to explode on critical part of tank or explode too far so penetration force fall apart before it touch real armor. With this shell drones which was new bane of tanks are out of the game and Ukraine have to use either short stock artilery or antitank misile either is not really easy to use. Artilery fire immidietly get counter batery strikes and anitank misiles allready run out.

So now tank destroyers are becoming a modern thing again. Wow looks like history repeats itself

There’s two parts to the javelin. The first part is to destroy anything blocking the missiles way and the second part is to destroy the tank. So it’s not gonna work.

Soon the drones will fly right in the front and then the shell will localize the blast on the turret and probably do every bit as much damage.

Other than the fact it works, it's also important to now that these tanks were engineered to be able to carry modifications weight and still participate in combat. It's means their tanks can be extra heavy week with out being stuck in the mud, and their base performance were designed with modifications in mind.

Im russian, T-95 is not exist, Armata going for Upgrade atm, we are focuse on upgrading Soviet standart T-80 to modern and very effective T-80-BVM, its much more faster, manevric and smaller than T-90. Works on T-90 looks like stops now. We will make 1 best tank, based on top modifications T-90, full Armata tehnologies and also best of modernized T-80-BVM. We have thousands and thousands of this tanks, upgrades includes better gun, armor + best reactive armor tehnologies, anti-drones & automatic systems etc... For us this upgrades is sooooo cheap, but it looks better in fights than not top T-90 modifications... Top T-90 in Russia now is T-90 'Proriv'. Its almost immortal machine, we lost so few of them... 1-2 this tanks can crash front. It can eat a lot of drone's, rpg, tanks and artillery attacks. Is has automatic systems of disabling all drones comings, auto-destroying tank 125-130 calibres, rpgs and anyes explode targets coming to tank + super effective new armor/reactive systems and a lot other staff. Its expensive tanks, but unstopble. It cost like upgrading 10-20 T-80 to top modes, but we are producing everything now: Armatas, this top T-90 and hundreds of T-80-BVM. We keeping a lot of Armatas and Proriv and other modern tehnologies to surprise and meet with bread and salt NATO soldiers... We are not using best types of aviations, bombers, tanks etc in UA-RU wars, only testing sometimes. Our army much much bigger and so much stronger, than before 22y. If we want, we can destroy full armies of Baltics, PL, Swe, Fin, and all countries before Germany very ez and quick. UA troops were total equipped and trained in wars for 11 years since 2014. Now 95% of them are dead or defeated. We just finishing em now. We have massive reserve, that not using atm and it becomes only larger. We are saving troops, so no hurry for long time, no risks like in Feb. of 22 and we are almost cleared our army from West spyes, they will sits in rus mafia super hard prisons for 25-30 years, a lot of them will dies in it before escaping... GL NATO, nothing will save u now! ❤
