Can you explain why in "I have" yest is at the end, but yest means to eat? Thank you!

@@Yggdrasil1844yest’ means to eat or to exist. The phrase ‘u menya yest’ literally means something like ‘To exist near me’ but means I have. Hope this helped!

10.31 similar situation is in polish language człowiek, ludzie. Glad to be native polish speaker so Russian is a bit closer.

You mention that you can use ОН/ОНА/ОНО for objects but can't you also use ОНИ? Example: Я ищу чашки. Где они? Or is this wrong? Good video bro. I will try BeFluent.

Быть is the infinitive for "to be". есть is the present tense, think of it as "exists". есть also means to eat. The meaning is based on the context of the sentence. Think of these 2 sentences: I read a book yesterday I will read a book tomorrow. Is the word "read" the same in both sentences? I realize the pronunciation is different but you get my meaning hopefully
