The next year was the Cuban Missile Crisis. The Soviet Union actually began installing missiles in Cuba to attack major cities in the US (1962). JFK put a blockade around Cuba to prevent more Soviet Union missiles being installed. . It was a true stand off of two super powers with nuclear weapons. It was scary. I still remember watching JFK's address to the nation.

For those saying these missile cruisers are not a threat I suggest you look up videos on Russia's Zircon missile. The US has nothing that will stop them. From Cuba to Washington DC is 12 minutes with these. Be thankful they only brought conventional warheads. These missiles travel at Mach 9, that's 6905 mph.

Can't really compare US and Russia, Russia broke there agreement with Ukraine in the Budapest memorandum by invading them. So Ukraine has every right to rearm itself to pre Budapest memorandum, and that's Russia's own fault. USA honors it's treaties which is also why China has military outside it's country, USA signed a treaty to protect Taiwan and Japan after WW2.

The Bay of Pigs was a year earlier than the Cuban Missile Crisis (1961). The Bay of Pigs was a failed invasion of Cuba by Cuban Exiles. It was a failed See-I-A operation. The next year was the Cuban Missile Crisis. The Soviet Union actually began installing missiles in Cuba to attack major cities in the US (1962). JFK put a blockade around Cuba to prevent more Soviet Union missiles being installed. . It was a true stand off of two super powers with nuclear weapons. It was scary. I still remember watching JFK's address to the nation.

What is there to support? Cuba is a run down place like Russia. People have escaped by boat and plane to get here. A Cuban MIG-23 defected to Florida and then he went back to reduce his family, bringing them back the second trip. Parking ships won’t stop the weapons going to Ukraine. Maybe instead of saber rattling, how about Russia demonstrates some common and try to actually fight in Ukraine? Their air defenses are a paper bag, one of their SU-57 jets got smoked on the tarmac.

The east coast is so heavily populated so you'll do a lot of damage but you're also going to take a lot of damage coming in on the East Coast but if you come up somewhere on the Gulf Coast of Texas or Mexico and then marching
