rust is the most stressful and difficult game i’ve played in my entire life. need more games like this. most games are easy and you lose interest but rust is built different.

I love how they included door camping, no false advertising.

Crazy how this entire trailer was made mostly in rust (besides editing/music). It shows you how cinematic and beautiful this game is.

The fact that they include a hazzy doorcamping with a db is probably the most honest trailer moment in my life.

The DB doorcamp at the front door is the most honest thing I've ever seen in a trailer for a game.

I played it for a week, got so angry I quit. 2 days after I was back and hooked harder than ever. Something about the elements in rust just piece themselves so perfectly together it’s almost like a drug that once you start, you honestly can’t stop. I love it and all it’s bloodthirsty PVP

You know the one thing that sets rust so far apart from so many other games is that almost 100% of the time any cut scenes are actual game footage wheather its from the official or creators. A massive well done to the devs for keeping this game going and just improving it over the years

If you showed me the first 30 seconds and the last 30 seconds of this trailer separately - I definitely would not think they were the same game. 😂

When the solo got door camped should have said “Lose everything”. Noob didn’t even have an airlock

They should have started the game off with: "Picks up rock" "Kills fresh spawn with rock"

Thinking about buying this game, looks alright.

What's so great about this game is replayability. First wipe, you're struggling to get by, and its an achievement just to get an upgraded base, and tech to revolvers. Next wipe, you focus on monument hunting Then fishing, then ocean farming, living off of the train tunnels, doorcamping, learning how to grub, then getting better with guns and contesting the bigger monuments. Theres so much to do each time you come back and progressively get better at the game. And even when you've done all that, theres new content released all the time to mess around with. You could spend a wipe being a hemp/tea farmer, or building the most electrically advanced base.

Seems like a game where they are not racist, also they seem friendly.

You forgot to add “get offline raided by a 50 deep Zerg clan” and “get shot by an AK and called the n word by 13 year old while trying to get enough hemp to make a bow”

They didn’t show what it’s actually like to hunt a deer in rust

I have to say Facepunch really delivered, I don't understand how anyone can make such a perfect game, in my years on steam there is no game that can match this one, Facepunch you have my admiration

If I haven't bought Rust, this trailer would of convinced me to buy Rust.

I bought this game at the beginning, when there were zombies and 10 people on the server was a lot, this trailer not only relives the experience in game but the story of the game itself, they, facepunch, also started naked and only with a rock, and look how far they have come . You guys never let us down, thanks.

Honestly, Rust is one of the best games I've ever played, but god damn it gives me hardcore anxiety, near heart attack moments, and has me constantly worried at work if my base is okay before I get home... It's amazing.

The Trailer: normal Rust gameplay The gameplay: some chineese guy stting on his roof for 6+ hours killing nakeds or that one mic spammer who just sits in front of a base playing loud ass music.

Whoever's doing the MUSIC at Facepunch is an underrated genius, man

The most unrealistic thing in this game is “making friends “ by dropping a smg to them and trusting them to not have any ammo for it.

Yo, this looks like a real trailer. It's cool that it was shot in the game itself, and not just outside of it, so the trailer does not lie to us, everything is as it is. Good job! :) My favorite game

now that i think about it the identity of the game has changed a bit the "your first day in rust" trailer felt kinda lighthearted, even the trailer music was very catchy and kinda cheerful, like it knew what it was from the start and the game was simple, it showed you the ropes of the game and what could happen now it feels a lot colder, the music being a kinda darker and sort of epic reimagining of the main menu song of rust legacy, showing that its very fucking tough to survive and even thrive either way i really like this game, even if i dont play it often due to hardware limitations and time

I played the game for 3 years and I have really amazing memories of it, not counting that I ever missed it and then I died, but it was a really good game, in my opinion, growth is currently the best survival game in the world. Thanks to Facepunch for giving me such an amazing game

Rust Console Trailer: 30 seconds of intro at 15 fps, followed by a 5 second freeze and then a blue screen for the rest of the 2 minutes.

I was expecting him to leave the base, immediately get gunned down, tbagged by 3 people all screaming the N word and killed by a thrown rock. This trailer just isn’t realistic at all...

I have slept on this game for years... i made a mistake doing so. I LOVE THIS GAME. RUST will make you angry, sad, happy, and tired. The mistakes you make will make you better the next time. You will lose a lot, you will fail a lot, you will LEARN a lot. Trusting people is a big part. If you can find some great people to work together with and even form bonds, I promise your experience in RUST will be amazing. What you make of this game is how your experience will be. You can NOT give up! Always try and never be afraid to "RISK THE BISCUIT" me and my friends always say. Also if you're not into the long haul grind or don't have enough time to put into RUST there's other amazing servers that can fit your needs! There's community and modded servers that can offer more materials/loot and makes it easier and faster to build up a base and get geared up for a fight. Such as 2x/3x/5x/10x/1000x/100000x servers! hope to see you in RUST and if I happen to raid you, GG's ;)
