This style of not arabian. This sword is Turkish Kilij.

😂 In modern times, this design was used and manufactured in a new way by the Turks. Is there a single source that says that this is a Turkish sword in Islamic history that did not mention that the Turks are professionals who made wonders in designs? First, this design existed before the Turks made a knife. It was present in the Persians and there are a thousand designs for them. After that, this type was designed by the Arabs after it was preferred over the rest of the swords. We did not find a mention of the name that this is an Arab design, but they are the ones who said that it is an Arab sword and was part of the Abbasid state. After many centuries, this design was copied and this became the Turkish sword that was designed by the Turks in approximately the fifteenth century, as there were those who made guns and the Ottomans were still in the Stone Age, so they were the reason behind the delay of the Islamic nation. This was due to the occupation of Arab regions and there were many Arabs who formed an alliance with the Ottomans against the Arabs because of the brotherhood in Islam at that time, when there were some Arab tribes that knew the intentions of the Ottomans.

This sword form is yalmanlı. İt is turkish design that for military. And there is Gaddare that is heavy than yalmanlı. Like same yalmanlı, only thicker than yalmanlı. For steel thick armors.
@castlebarron1788
@castlebarron1788 Год назад
Right type of steel! +1 point however as soon as you forged the curve you ruined the temper that gave the steel its spring like quality. On top of that you also introduced stress fractures that caused significant lines and pitting to form. Typically to address this smiths will fold then forge weld a billet back into itself. Should have used 2 springs folding into billet and forge welded before you began to rough shape. -1 point The sword is to thick from edge to rear especially on the end curve. -1 point That pitting along the fuller is also worrying that’s begging for rust to form and ruin structural integrity of the blade, also the lack of even attempting to acknowledge the putting is piss poor performance on your part, severe lack of attention to detail. -1 point The handle should have had a second Rivet 1.5 inches below final swell of the brass hand guard centered in the handle to secure the handle wood in place. -1 point Need to polish your handle and guard along with trailing and cutting faces of blade (do not polish cutting edge) but that might be asking too much since you ignored the obvious and very deep pitting earlier in the vid. -1 point Finally you should have tempered the blade again in order to have it regain the spring quality it would need to be functional. -1 point 0/5 Issue trend: lack of attention to detail

do not trust that blade with that hole in it. no question wonderful looking. however most people working with leaf springs avoid the hole or cut the line just below it to remove it totally. your the first i have seen welding out the hole. right in middle of the blade any real test and it breaks right there. watch the show forge in fire it happens all the time.

I'd be more concerned about all the visible cold shuts from cold-hammering that shape in place than a hole along the spine, but it's an ornamental piece. Not like bro is gonna have to fight off a zombie horde with it.
@tonynelligan1930
@tonynelligan1930 2 года назад
@@henryviley many a man had thought why do i need a sword, days or years later he's laying in a hole last thought i wish i had a sword. a sword made not to be used is not a sword but a piece of junk steel in the shape of something useful. also who knows if zombies won't happen someday never know and be prepared.

It is said that Arab swords were manufactured mainly in Damascus and Baghdad after the Islamic conquests, and that the greatest dependence of the Arabs before Islam was on Indian swords due to the length of their blades and the beauty of their people. It is not enough for the Arabs that the sword be effective, it must also be beautiful in its curves so that the bearer can be proud of it and write poetry about it until the Islamic conquest came, which encouraged the Arabs to make swords, so blacksmithing was hated by the Arabs in ancient times. People say about him that he became a Roman and that he left the Arabs
