Adeyeye Olorunfemi, a UNILAG student who was rusticated on allegation of making defamatory post about the Varsity's Vice Chancellor, Prof. Rahman Bello on the Facebook, suggested that the Vice Chancellor and the professors who interpreted his write-up at the disciplinary panel have intelligence deficits and lacking managerial capabilities.

And where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance, coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission. How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those who are more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable. But again, truth be told...if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror. I know why you did it. I know you were afraid. Who wouldn't be? War. Terror. Disease. This is the kind of youths we need in Nigeria! Young man dont let anyone silence you, continue to stand by your convictions. As an alumni this isnt news to me. The demigod status academic staff in Unilag n other nigerian schools bestow on themselves is CORRUPTION personified! The FG has failed to realize that the institutionalizatoon of corruption begins in the academic sector. Things need to change!!
