Thank you all for the kind words! Quick note about the plow color because I'm getting a lot of comments. The plows on tonka trucks of this time always matched the color of the truck. This particular plow happened to be off an orange truck that is long gone. The yellow/green plow for this truck was missing so I'm combined the two to make the set.

As a little girl who thoroughly enjoyed playing with her Tonka trucks (mid 80’s) in my mom’s garden I do appreciate this video. I used to turn the hose on high and make a a raging river through her garden (flooded the plants) but my trucks loved smashing through the mud.

@R G I was 5 but one can only wonder how lonely you must be to feel the need to take the time to make your presence known in such a mediocre way.

This is arguably one of your best restorations....defying the gods of rust and reclaiming the metal.....very fine effort. Best wishes and be healthy.

Now THAT is a restoration. It's clear that you didnt bury this in your garden a week ago, and I really appreciate it. Yours may very well be the ONLY REAL model car restoration channel on this platform 😂 and I mean that whole-heartedly, nice work man!

Outstanding workmanship with a end product that is excellent example of Tonka's long lasting appeal from a child's play toy to fond memories of having a good time playing with you reach adulthood.

Man havn't seen this one in years! Used to have one when I was a kid. Setting up roadblocks of trucks, dirt, rocks, sticks, ect... And ramming that plow truck into it. Wasn't much that truck couldn't go through. Good times 😎 There are two versions of this truck. A single axel and a dual axel. Both came in either yellow or orange and had two different plows. The split one shown here and a solid angle blade also. Very cool to see one in perfect condition. I'd ad some black pin stripes on the hood and dump bed.

Your restorations are amazing, this one for some reason got me thinking about all the old bulldozers and road graders that I see sitting along country roads and highways and if someone put the love in restoring them to their glory days.

Wow! This is awesome! I'm not an expert by any means, but I bought a bottle of Metal Rescue to try and restore a cast iron muffin pan that I found out in the woods. The rust, even the thick stuff, came off with just soaking and using a stiff brush. You've probably used it before. I like to restore old tools and knives. This stuff just saved me alot of time with the grinder and sander! Great Video!
