So frikin proud of Rutgers, Coach Schiano Congrats reference becoming bowl eligible!! Some tough games coming up, but I'm looking forward to the rest of season, so Keep doing what your doing, lift an extra weight, eat more protein and keep working your rear ends off!! Great Job Rutgers!! Bill Buckhead Ga
Honestly, they're going to get handled with relative ease by Ohio State ... but they have legitimate if unlikely chances to beat Penn State and/or Iowa, and a solid one against Maryland. Frankly, I think they somehow go 2-2, beating UM and finding a way to scratch out a win against Iowa (more likely) or Penn State (less likely, but not impossible).
Badgers fan here. Got to give Rutgers a lot of credit. Was at the Wisconsin/Rutgers game in Madison and I have to say that Rutgers is not a bad football team the Scarlet Knights have fielded this year. Congrats on becoming bowl eligible!
@@bigwats1250 Yes, they were 5-7 and got in the Gator Bowl because Texas A&M backed out. This season is the first time winning 6 games to clinch a bowl bid the traditional way
Indiana is looking more like a Gerry Dinardo team now, after Allen had his one or two records up with/above Bill Mallory's best. Hard to say we didn't see this coming now that we know he needs a homerun hire OC to win any quality games. Clearly hasn't had one since DeBoer left. Not close. Spartans are the only win I see left for them on paper and I wouldn't put money on that. Their season felt on track for tough times after Dexter WIlliams didn't play against OSU nor Louisville. He's the only QB they have that has made their Offense flow downhill in the last 3 years. None of them at QB have lasted long enough to have a big sample size in fairness and all have had their flashes of good moments. When the coaches still don't know who their best starter is after midpoint speaks to the dire situation. Sorsby looked solid and didn't do anything specific to cost them the game. They actually let him down today but Sorsby also didn't do anything to swing it back either. Even without any behind the scenes info nor insider view that much is clear. Rutgers looks really solid on the other hand. Their QB is shifty at pad level, strong and fast! They also answered after every punch Indiana hit them with. The saying you win one play at a time applied out there since they let go of their mistakes and adjusted nicely 2nd half. Bent but didn't break on the Defensive side. Best wishes to them and well-played game taking advantage of IU's mistakes. Good rising teams do that increasingly the way they've shown with Schiano back, and they'd beat even more teams outside of the B1G East going off what I saw out of them.
to the video editor: when the announcer says, "there's another big special teams play by Rutgers" you realize we're going to wonder why you didn't show us the first one? And how do TWO Rutgers drives start on the one yard line? this is a sloppy compilation.
I’m rooting for them but they are ugly to watch. A QB throwing for 39 yards will never let you keep recruits. Why would any receiver want to commit to a team that can’t throw the ball. They are blowing their chance to make the NFL.
You're rooting for them? Sounds like your more of a bitter Cuse fan. After a win that made they bowl eligible for the first time in 9 years, you're commenting about receiver commits?
@@danielhood4062 I figured fans of The University Of The Putrid Citrus from the remote Northern Outpost (a.k.a. Toronto's College Football Team) would chime in like clockwork..
Go rutgers! Indiana has a strong defense no doubt. Rutgers offense had many problems holding them back, but rutgers played like the jets 😂 and got through it. 🤭 hope to be a grad student on campus soon.
Amazing how standards in college football have fallen - "success" == a bowl bid (even at 6-6). Yet another manifestation of the "everyone wins a trophy era". Really weak.
It’s not everyone gets a trophy. Regardless if this was year 2000 or 1989 they would still be bowl eligible. And yes it’s success for a program who is being built from the ground up. You can’t expect a school to think about a national championship when they are just building their program. You got to measure it some how and for Rutgers this is a successful season. Only Alabama, Ohio state and Other schools who already have their programs built can think of winning a national championship as success. You just a hater
Wimsatt had only 39 passing yds and Rutgers really just beat Indiana by 17 pts 🤣🤣 Congrats to my team for earning their Bowl Game and shoutout to special teams and to Wimsatt for the rushing game of his life
