President William Ruto spent a better part of his speech, defending his move to have opposition members appointed into his cabinet, saying it was time the country united to move forward after weeks of protests.
The president named four ODM members into his cabinet, assigning the opposition the powerful and lucrative docket of national treasury. As citizen TV’s Emmanuel Too now reports, the president also reiterated that he had heard the protesters and outlined measures aimed at addressing the issues they raised during the month-long protests.
