Loads of how to videos out there tell you how to pull the whole window out to do repairs or replacements. This is the first and only video I saw that's purpose was to save time and money and probably future issues. 5 Stars from me!!! keep up these videos, Ill definitely check here first for any future issues I run into with my Travel Trailer!!!!

We don't have these windows, but we used to in our teardrop we pulled with one of our Jeeps. Wish we had known some of these tips; especially the clothespin one. Glad you were able to get a new assembly due to tint issues. Glad you have a spare. Good tips on keeping everything tight and replacing the arms. Be safe, Bill and DeAnna

Ha! Us to at first. Then we had the tint issue and started thinking - should we be doing something with these? And after we saw a few issues pop up around the internet (handles, shattering…), we thought it would be a good info video. We really appreciate you taking coffee time with us. Hey y’all! Those were great! Lots of folks don’t know about the windows. An issue with the newer models is cracked windshields on the front of the trailer. Some folks managed to replace theirs without removing the front cap. FR says you need to remove it to replace it. Anyway, we’re heading your way next month. Thank you! Yes - there doesn’t seem to be a lot of info out there so we thought we would do some research and see what things were causing the most issues on them. And we have seen those issues. Thought about getting a cover for the front because of it. And from what we have seen (a post on someone who bought a camper and they were finding cracks in the fiberglass. Looked to be from a prior repair of just replacing the window and not the cap), FR may be correct. And we would love to meet up. We are going out of town for a family function soon but hopefully we can coordinate. Happy to hear you are making the trip! Will watch for your PM.
Love that emergency window hack, totally going to do that! We use the 303 products too, good stuff! Have you guys seen our 5 minute window hack for frameless windows to get better airflow? It's awesome and we love our windows even more. Happy travels! - Michelle & Brian
Yes - the 303 are great! And we did the same hack to our windows about 3 years ago. Does make a huge difference. We had it in some video but cant remember which one anymore haha. Will check out your channel - looks like some great content! Thanks for the watch! Happy travels to you both as well!
Thank you for this video. Could you tell me the name of the little tool you used to help unstick the window from the seal? One of my windows arrived stuck and I am afraid of doing damage getting it open. I will be ordering the parts you mentioned to have on hand. I find your videos so helpful and appreciate what you two do so much.
Hi Janice. I am not sure what tool you mean? We didn’t use anything specifically to get the window open but if you can tell me which scene you saw it in, I will take a look. Usually if they are stuck where we feel we might put too much pressure on the handle, we will take the screen out to give it a little “help” as we turn the knob. Oh no! So sorry! Luckily, it is an easy fix once you get a new window. A few screws at the top and the window glass will slide out and a new will slide in. If you bought through a local dealer, they should have no problem ordering you one. If bought used or the dealer won’t help, would reach out directly to Forest River parts department. With the VIN on the camper - they should be able to send you the correct replacement. Hope that helps!
Wow! That is alot. Possible on the glass shop! Was it both of the windows? (Our kitchen window is two that look like one) If one is still good they could maybe use as a template. Also - I would try reaching out directly to Forest River. May be cheaper although shipping will likely be expensive - they ship the whole window out and not just the glass. Let us know how it works out.

Yes, I drilled out the rivets holding in the knob so I could slide the rollers to the end of the track. Used small stainless bolts to put it back in place. I am not 100% sure that it won;t pop out again. @@WinesPinesandCanines
Sounds like a good fix. We had to repair the emergency window latch (video upcoming) and used the same method. Has held up very well (we used some loctite blue on the bolts)
Hi! Sorry took a bit to answer! They sit on the front of the window (they don’t fit into the frame if that makes sense) and then there are some silver clips that snap into the window frame. We always have to think about it each time lol. Hope that helps!

@@WinesPinesandCanines I'm headed to Dallas for a few days on Wednesday. I'm going to the Dallas Guitar Festival, which I've been trying to catch for several years now. My Grand Canyon/Utah trip starts on May 24th. Really looking forward to that. Still debating whether or not to by an e-bike.
Excited to hear about the Utah/GC! So our trip to the GC and renting the ebike convinced us to get them. We ended up buying some Rad Power ones - will eventually do a video. But Lectric just came out with some new great options as well. Have fun this week!
I enjoy your videos but please tell Lynn its perfectly fine to look away from the camera to grab something. Watching her fumble around trying to find something while locked on the camera is a tad silly.
