For those who are using the Clear2O or green filter. On the Dirt Guard filter you can now get the filter down to 10 microns. Order mine off Amazon and had to click on the Clear2O seller page. You can find it there. I liked the comparison between the two 3 stage filters. They are very comparable to each other. I do like that in a pinch and reading through the comments about nightmares of changing filters twice a month at some rv parks. It is nice to be able to go to a big box store and quickly replace a filter using the Clear Sourse set up. Also quick hose connects are a blessing to added ease for the Clear Source. Would have like to see the pressure difference between the two also. Maybe an updated video later

I looked at this system recently. It looked/sounded great (although a little pricy). My biggest concern was the availability and cost of filters. With other systems, if you run into a situation where you need a filter NOW, you can always temporarily use any 2.5"x10" filter cartridge from any home improvement store. Filter availability was another issue with Clearsource, Water Filtration Store, and Clear2o. I ended up building my own 3-stage system, with quick connects, and an aluminum frame, for about $200. This gives me the option of using any filters, whether that is the expensive name brands or home improvement store filters. It is a bit larger and heavier, but fortunately, I have a toy hauler and space/weight is not an issue. Thanks for a great review!

I don’t think there is a better system out there . I always keep spare filters . I still use the green eco at the source with the green in line carbon filter l using both systems I doubt you can find anything better

@@rpedersonkc I built the frame myself, out of extruded aluminum. You can also make a frame out of wood, or get some hooks to hang it from the connecting pipes to a point on the camper...

I currently, at my location, use the 20 micron sediment filter you are using, but also a 1 micron water filter from the same company, The micron is about 32.00 average from walmart. And I'm having to buy a new one on average of every 10 days. And it's no better at my faucet using a brita, then into a brita picture. Though the sediment filter gets a lot, it still doesn't get enough. And then the 1 micron is plugged up between 7 to 10 days. You can't even take a shower unless your water tank is full and then use the pressure pump. Lucky to even flush the toilet. But after 2.5 years, I'm leaving this place and moving elsewhere that has clean water.

Yes we have been to places that ruined filters in a very short time. Lake Okeechobee area less than 2 weeks in a brand new filter.. Florida has some of the worst water.
@robertcole9391
@robertcole9391 2 года назад
@@Rvdaydream It's not Florida. It's the owners of the RV parks that don't want to spend the money for either a deep well, or a proper water filtration system. Hate to say this, but most a penny pinchers and refuse to expend the funds necessary. Personally, I wish the state would step in and force them to install proper systems.

Just discovered you here on RU-vid. Something I just noticed even though this video is really about the BLU filtration system. According to Clear2o directions they recommend that you put a water regulator before their Clear2o Dirt Guard (20 & 10-micron Dirt Guard filter - Amazon) as it can only handle up to 60psi or you stand a chance of it leaking, as experienced by others. Plus, if you use the 1-micron filter cartridge inside the Clear2o Dirt Guard, it will lower the water pressure coming into your rig as we have recently discovered. I would imagine now that you have a BLU water filtration system, you will not need the additional Clear2o filter system. I have been considering changing out our Clear2o system to the BLU filtration system, now that we're are stationary for a couple weeks. We do also use a Berkey that is on our counter.

Yea I have researched and came with the same system . Do you still recommend using the green eco filter at pump with this system?
@Rvdaydream

We actually purchase a 4 pack of filters for another company (they are listed in a our store) because we were having a hard time finding the green filter,always seem to be out of stock, they recommend them to be changed every 3 months so that's what we do 😁

It seems like it was brand new you had to flush it first. Did you ever try it before you did the review? How much are they give off on the filtration system with your code. Thank you for your videos.
@Rvdaydream
@Rvdaydream Год назад
They recommend flushing to remove any debris that may be present that is left over from the manufacturing process.... You'll have to click the link and pur the item in the cart and insert the code for the final price due to different promotions and the code being adjusted to reflect msrp changes.. Thanks for watching!

bought one today, using your code... Curious on if you put your pressure regulator behind it, before water goes into your trailer? I am thinking you do not need regulator before the filter?? thanks Mo
@Rvdaydream
@Rvdaydream 2 года назад
We haven't used our regulator for awhile very few places have enough pressure to begin with, however maybe you don't want to take our advice. Lol.. If you do use it we usually put it on first prior to all filters. And thanks for using our code.. You definitely will be happy with your purchase..

I love the size and connections. What I don't understand is that the company goes through good lengths to provide a what appears to be a very high quality product, but failed with their carbon filter. I contacted Blu Technology, BT, and asked them to clarify if the carbon filter was that of a GAC or carbon block filter. Their reply was that their filter is a GAC filter. 😔 I really like the size, but not at the loss of a carbon block. What is interesting to note is that a representative from BT actually told me that GAC has more surface area and has better filtration, whereas the rest of the world understands that the carbon block is the far superior with respect to filtration secondary to having more surface area. 🤔 Dang, I really wanted to invest in this system, but with a GAC carbon filter, and misinformation by a company representative....I think I am going to have to pass on their R3 setup. However, if anyone reading this knows of a compatible carbon block filter that can be used in this setup, please let me know!!!!
@Rvdaydream
@Rvdaydream 2 года назад
This is the best portable system on the market right now. You could probably piece together or engineer something yourself if you want a specific filter arrangement. My answer would be add a carbon block into the line. That way you have your needs met and have the best system available. I had somebody else that was upset that they didn't have any kind of ultraviolet that was available with their filter system. I advise them to add an UltraViolet if that's something they felt they need. Again, for the money this is the best system that's available commercially for everyday full-time RV use.
