That’s one heck of a well thought out set up. I’m new and just getting into IT/Networking so I’m looking forward to learning this stuff, especially for RV life. Thanks gentlemen!
Great video as usual. That is an amazing setup, very well done. Your discord channels are awesome with tons of great advice from people who know their stuff. Thanks for sharing.
Ok, is Ben really Ben, or is he the new version of “Dana from Star~Trek”??? Very interesting, but way over my head! Wish I understood 😂 No worries, I’m still watching 😊. (and no, I still haven’t managed to figure out Discord) 😢
Great video. I just got a Dishy at my remote home, I presume since Starlink sell an RV set up, that I cannot just pick it up and go around Europe in my RV with it ?
I like the idea of the plastic boxes for the cellular antennas on the roof, but they appear to be less than 2 ft from the a/c's which is the recommended minimum distance. Any reason and is Ben getting any deleterious effects?
@@triphius hi Ben. I am designing and sourcing parts for a 48volt system on a catamaran. Can you direct me to a supplier you recommend? And a designer? Thank you
@@triphius Good morning Ben. My main focus right now is electrical. Roughly a 48volt bank, two inverters, two 48 volt alternators (one on each engine), a 48 volt generator in lieu of the standard 240v 12kw and a 12 volt subsystem to run the boats 12v needs.
@@NTM2009 That’s only true on the first generation (circle) Dishy. The second Gen (rectangular) Dishy has proprietary connections and requires the router to power the dish. Plus, they’re not gonna give me two public IPs, so I need the router anyway. It would be nice if they would allow me to turn off the wireless on the router without having to put the whole thing into bypass mode. It would also be nice if you could customize the subnet.
