Hold on.....God is getting the right job for both of you ready! Enjoy the wonderful path he has put you on! Enjoy the beauty and the love the sends to you!
One way to afford RV life is to find a way to make some money. I work summers in Yellowstone NP. It pays well, no state tax and I don't have to work the rest of the year. There are lots of places to find seasonal work other than RV parks. Enjoy your journey.
Well sorry we missed you when you where in Laramie. We live here so we could have told you where ti go. We left on our 3 week trip with our 5th wheel. We were up in big Montana on the 4th. Sorry we didn't get to hook up with you guys. There is a lot of bondocking around around. You could stay here three months and stay a differnet place each time. Remember next time when in Laramie there is a dump station at the Loves and at the territorial prison. They charge 10 dollars to dump and yoy can pick up fresh water also. Laramie has the only 4 year college in the state of Wyoming. We like it here in Wyoming because there is not a lot of people. You just have to put up with the wind as you found out. We count can count the number of dsys on our hands it don't blow. I would never stay in that campground at the price eather. Good luck on finding your next jobs. God be with you both. Safe travels.
We would have loved to have met up with y'all and find out more info about Laramie! We do hope to come back someday! We LOVE the state of Wyoming! How long have y'all lived in Laramie? Did y'all have fun in Montana? Thanks so much for watching! ~ Shion and Matthew
We have McAllisters in East Tennessee. I have only eaten there twice, but my friend told me that we can order from the kids menu, because we are seniors. We get a grilled chicken salad, and it's really good, and cheap. If you download the app, you get a free sweet tea.
Sorry for not getting back to you guys. My brother was just diagnosed with stage four cancer. So I have been kind of dealing with that a little bit. We have lived in laramie for 25 years. I am originally from South Dakota. I moved to Wyoming in 1980. By trade I am at HVAC Tech. we have three children two boys and one girl I have one son that lives here in laramie one lives in Iowa and my daughter lives in Colorado Springs. This is really getting to be a really crazy world we’re living in. So I don’t know if we’ll ever sell our sticks and bricks house and go full-time RV. We did enjoy our time up in Montana. We really do love that state. There is a lot of Boondocking around laramie. it is getting harder to find places to camp around here specially with the big trailer like we have so you’re limited where you can go. So when we decide to go out camping for the weekend, we pull our camper up three or four days before so we can find a spot. We just pulled ours up this weekend because next week’s gonna be alone weekend. so just remember if you ever in the area, we’d love to show you the area and maybe take you out to some places you could set your camper up. See you guys have a safe trip and stay healthy and see maybe see you down the road. Take care.
We are so sorry to hear about your brother's cancer diagnosis. We will be praying for complete healing for him! 🙏 We have had a couple of friends who have been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and are now cancer-free. We believe in the power of prayer! 🙏 We really enjoyed our time in Laramie and we hope to come back someday! Thanks for sharing all of that info with us and we hope to meet up someday too! Thanks for watching! ~ Shion and Matthew
Went to the University in Laramie back in the ‘80’s. Couldn’t wait to escape Wyoming back then since i grew up in Casper lol. Enjoy seeing the ole stomping grounds again. Thank you.
I was a tech-er winter 85-86 it was a harsh winter. Then winter in North Dakota are so much colder. It was a great experience, I too couldn't wait to leave
It was crazy that it was so cold in July while most of the country has been in a heat wave including y'all! We hope y'all are enjoying some cooler weather now! Thanks for watching! ~ Shion and Matthew
I'm still hoping and praying that things work out for you guys. I'm so glad Mathew is feeling better also. Happy Belated Birthday to you also. I told you months ago that God has a plan for you and so far you are still putting out content so God has a plan we just don't know what it is yet but stay strong. God Bless You and Safe Travels Always.
Thank you so much for the encouragement! We really appreciate it! We keep telling ourselves God has a plan and to stay the course! Thanks for watching too! ~ Shion and Matthew
Hey guys ! Love your camp site. ❤️ I could stay there awhile. Love old towns. I have added another place to my bucket lists. Another great video ! Save travels.
New Walgreens concept store. They just built one here in my town in NC. They said the bulk of their profits come from pharmacy so the new store (slightly smaller than that one in Laramie) will replace the current one that has all the regular drugstore "stuff"
Dave here - I think that the water flow problem was air trapped in a line somewhere. It likely caused a "vapor lock" where the pump could not get suction to draw water from the jug
We stayed in Vedauwoo National Forest Campground east of Laramie Last year July 5-9 and it was cold then also. The campground is dry camping, but has paved sites with hiking trails around the area. We liked it very much. We did the same Snowy Range Parkway scenic drive and it was very windy and coats were required. There was snow on the ground in places, much as you experienced. We got to see moose on that drive. Hope you get your 10K soon, we have been subscribers you for a couple of years now.
We wished we would have seen moose on our drive for the Snowy Range Parkway! We drove through Vedauwoo and it seemed really nice! Thank you so much for your support! We really appreciate it! 😀 Thanks for watching too! ~ Shion and Matthew
Happy Birthday! It's good that you are trusting in God, as He never fails. You'll make it - maybe not the way you want, but the way that's best for you. We boondocked through Southern Wyoming a couple years ago and really enjoyed it. If you haven't boondocked by Flaming Gorge, I highly recommend it, if you're in the area. Last year we saw Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. Our favorite state is Utah though. We plan on going back there next year. Take care!
Thank you so much for the birthday wishes! 😀 We have driven to the flaming gorge but have not had a chance to boondock there yet. We hope to some day! It is so beautiful there! We enjoy Utah too! Do you have a favorite boondocking area in Utah? Thanks so much for watching! ~ Shion and Matthew
@@BrokenDreamsReborn The entire SE corner of UT is great for boondocking. If visiting Zion, NP I recommend the Twin hollows free campground here: 37.207133641532955, -112.68974559789372 But there's tons of boondocking everywhere. One of our favorite boondocking spots is near Goblin Valley SP here: 38.572940, -110.737304 If the weather is hot, we love the area around Duck Creek Village, here: Uinta Flats 37.510094649793096, -112.61826459064784 It's at 8,500ft elevation so stays nice and cool and it's a great base camp to explore the area around Cedar, Breaks, National Monument, Brian Head, Strawberry Point, etc. If you have a specific place you'e like to visit I can make some recommendations near there, as there are so many...
Yes Matt, people do watch, but they also have to join youtube in order to even leave a like. Maybe they don't want to be tracked. RU-vid is good at that. I don't much like it myself. Thanks for your video!
Never thought of Laramie Wyoming as a “touristy” area! 😂 That bison won’t fit. Sorry. 😞 Matthew is such a killjoy! That stuffy bison was just right for a pet😂. The cost of RV parks in the States is making me queasy as we’re planning on wintering down there…in the areas without snow!
LOL 😂 We LOVED our time down in Laramie! We have found that the RV parks are more expensive in the areas that have a short season and if they are by really touristy areas. Hopefully where y'all are looking to winter will not be that expensive! Thanks for watching! ~ Shion and Matthew
Happy belated Birthday! We’ve been subscribed for quite a while, good luck hope you get to 10,000 soon. Just wondering why you didn’t just back the truck up to the side of the rv to fill it with water, you wouldn’t have had to pick up the containers at all and possibly get injured. Good luck in your job search, stay positive and trust in God and it will all work out. God bless 🙂
Thank you for the birthday wishes and thanks for the support! We really appreciate it. Great question about the water! We did that once in Colorado and we had to use a 25 foot hose because we did not have a shorter hose and it was just a longer process to fill the water, so Matthew wanted to see if he could lift the water jugs again. Plus it was really buggy, so we tried to get it done as quickly as possible. Thanks for watching! ~ Shion and Matthew
We LOVE the state of Wyoming and it is by far our favorite so far! 😀 Do y'all get to come back to Wyoming to visit often? Thanks so much for watching! ~ Shion and Matthew
@@BrokenDreamsReborn we are over getting some repair work done and will winter in Florida, spend summer in the outer banks and then winter in Texas. It’ll be 2026 before we get back to Wyoming. Enjoy all the great boondocking in the west.
I would be gasping for air walking up those stairs at that elevation. Interesting town. Never saw a Walgreens like that. We need to put this part of Wyoming on our list to visit.
So glad Matthew is doing better and better!! Prayers that you two can find good paying jobs to do on the road. Hey, any chance of getting the coordinates for the boondocking spot you were in? We're heading out to that area next summer and that's exactly the boondocking spot we would LOVE to stay at. We've tried several areas - but can't seem to find one that is wide open with the scenery like you found. Thanks so much!!! Safe Travels
Thank you so much! 😀 We really appreciate the prayers! 🙏 Just email us at brokendreamsreborn@gmail.com and we would be happy to share the coordinates with you! Thanks so much for watching! ~ Shion and Matthew
Like the bison statue. And the stuffed bison. Last time we were in Laramie it was raining so hard we couldn’t get in our site at the CG. Where we were to park was under water… ended up in Cheyenne.. train with snow pusher! Awesome! The bison is alive! He moved from one place to another! Btw did the dealer wash your truck? Most places don’t do it anymore…. 5 degrees for every 1000 feet elevation. Joanne’s 84 year old grandmother talked me into walking down Independence Pass in Colorado to be in snow. I told her I would only if I needed to put her on my back to get her back up! She said sure and we did and she hit me with a snowball… she made it up hill being at the 12,090 foot elevation. She was an awesome lady! The lake reminded me of cottonwood lake in Colorado.
We asked about the truck wash at the Pensacola Ford dealer and they said that our truck was too big for the washer, which made it sound like they must have an automatic car wash, but not positive. That is an awesome story about Independence Pass! Thanks for sharing that with us. That is crazy about the site being under water. What campground was it? Thanks for watching! ~ Shion and Matthew
we bought a class B and we live in DaYTONA BEACH Fl. , and its HOT . we are not able to go anywhere with our toy its just to hot , if you try to do anything its before 10am or after 7pm ,. even the NC mountains, but hoping to get moving again here first of september,b safe, glad you are moving better , stay strong , prayer for you both for a great journey
We remember those hot days when we lived in Mississippi and Florida. The humidity makes it twice as bad! Thanks for the prayers! We really appreciate them! Hope y'all can stay cool too! Thanks for watching! ~ Shion and Matthew
We LOVE Wyoming too! We use Campendium to get to a boondocking area and then we scout the roads looking for spots and use a public lands app to see what land we are on and then call the official office of that land to see what the rules are. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching! ~ Shion and Matthew
Do like to boondock near other RVs or Do you like to be all alone. I would feel strange being so far away from everything. But would love the private area. Say safe. I agree I hate people leaving trash.
We like boondocking with friends. When we are not with friends we prefer to have a private boondocking space for peace and quite. Thanks for watching! ~ Shion and Matthew
Once you are unhooked at your boondocking site do you air down your tires for the wash board roads? If we are staying the 14 day limit I drop my pressures significantly and it makes a big difference to the ride of the truck on the wash boards roads
HINT: When looking at that Laramie Wyoming landscape, you should have played The Virginian tv show theme song! then come cantering up to the camera on HORSES!! that wd have been FABULOUS!! look up the song, its GREAT!!! fits perfectly!!
At that altitude, you must be at government Gully Road. I’ve been there a few times myself very nice and stays nice and cool but always windy. And you have a beautiful view of Laramie, Wyoming below you. When are you guys coming to Island Park Idaho?
We did scout out government gully road but did not stay there. They did have some nice sites there. We are not sure when we are coming back to Island Park. We would love to. Has the weather been nice there? Thanks for watching! ~ Shion and Matthew
They are nice. We have only been able to stay at 1 so far as we have never been able to get reservations when we need them. Thanks for watching! ~ Shion and Matthew
Its cool in Woodland Park colorado today. No air conditioning nec. This place is like 785 a month here plus elec. Ours has run about 80. Free trash water sewer. And WiFi.
