Omg I wish I could hug you!! I just replaced my Atwood with a Dometic and I was getting borderline cold. I was ready to give up then I see this and life is good now!! Thank you
We have a 2009 Crossroads Zinger and our hot and cold valves are under the kitchen sink and the fresh water valve is under the fridge. When i winterize what is the sequence of closing the valves? I closed all 3 at once and ended up with antifreeze in the hot water tank.
Well, without being able to see it and if I’m picturing the same thing you have the two values should point toward each other. If anti freeze is going into the water heater one or both of the valves is in the wrong position or one or both have failed.
The two under sink by the water heater are vertical now in the winter setting. They were horizontal for summer. I turned both vertical for winter, then turned the one under the fridge to winter, that's how we ended up with antifreeze in the hot water tank.
I’m not sure what the one under the fridge is for typically that’s for water filter. From here it sounds like one of the valves is leaking into the tank…
@@chrisw6785 as this video/pic shows it IS most likely from the pump, BUT the problem is there should be a shut off here as well as there is nothing preventing the pressurized cold from shooting down the pump line/hose.... it is just another one of those owner things to do to prevent a "possible" rupture, might happen might not, i would rather be on the side of NOT in order to enjoy a maint free camping session.... 🤠
