One of the ways I monitor my water usage if I don't have a sewer hook up is to work out of my tank. I know my tank will just about fill both my gray and black tanks. When I'm getting low on the fresh water it's about time to dump the tanks. Just what I do. Keep the good stuff coming guys and give Daisy a treat for me.
That thing you were asking about, it’s the skeleton of the cactus that bit you! They are cholla cactus, also known as “jumping cactus”. They don’t actually jump, they’re so loosely together that when you get close to them, like when you were playing with it, they seem to jump. And they’re very sharp.
Chad and Tara, I have watched you channel from episode 1. Might have missed a few modification videos since I do not RV. But you give us so much to think about of where we want do go and see America. When you started, looks like I-phone footage. Now, good gosh. I would put both of you up against anyone. The quality of the video, the way you shoot things. The off center angles you use, the way you shoot some shots at a tilt. Sounds like a bad idea, but it looks great and you get more in frame without looking off. Both of you get a 10. Tara, you get a 11 for the video work and the extra point for edit work and I should give you another point for all the wonderful song selections that you provide. Chad 10, Tara 12. But, Chad. When it comes to tech and RV repair. If it was an Olympic event. You have won the GOLD MEDAL !!!!!!!!!!
Cactus needles are actually adaptations of leaves and also protects the cacti. The skeleton of the cactus is what holds the water for the long hot dry summers.
We love Usery Regional Park! Our family camped there more than 3 times in the past year. If you like that area, you should try to go to Lost Dutchman State Park! Views are perfect and of course a lot of trails too! I'm so happy to see you camping in the same campground we've been. The Daisy shoes video portion is so cute!
The way we camp (small square drop) we always try to find state parks, county parks, etc. We have always had good experiences with them and just fits our style. 👍👍 for state parks.
From mid-Dec to the end of March in 2022-23, and then again in 2023-24, we moved between McDowell Mtn, Usery Mtn, Cave Creek, and Lake Pleasant Regional Parks. What a way it would've been to cap off our time there this year with a Chad & Tara sighting! Sorry we just missed you.
I enjoyed the canyon with all the wildflowers, rocks, ect.... As for the UTV ride, it was okay. I couldn't do those tall hills. We have a UTV, when my husband drives it, and I'm the passenger I freak out on the large angled hills.
Those trails look so fun! Being a coastal Oregonian it's hard to call that any kind of forest. But it's still beautiful. That campground is going on my out of state destination list.
Nice video. Very pretty area. Arizona is a place I really want to see. Looks like y'all are in a nice area. Looks like it's got Miss Daisy's approval, that is as long as someone carries her. Short legs don't make a big traveler. Thank y'all for taking us along with you. God bless y'all and stay safe out there on the road.
The park was good. The sites looked nice. Thought it was funny when you guys said you were off of the one trail and the sign was for the Lost Sheep Trail. 🤪🤪
We landed in Lake Havasu last fall. Enjoyed it so much, we actually bought a lot there. As part of the deal, we picked up a SxS and loved it so much, we're selling it and buying a new one!!!!.. This was so far off our plans, surprised with our own decisions. Trail riding is the BOMB! I had the opportunity to ride with some professional drivers, and holy cow was that eye opening. 50+ mph blasting through the desert and washes, wow.
@@ChangingLanes it's a most interesting town. We're in the Havasu RV Resort on the very north end of the town, literally underneath final approach to the airport. Havasu airport has a military fuel depot, which makes for a lot of military planes. About the only thing I haven't liked is F35 taking off at 6am! We will be there in late september.
We were just a few miles into Mesa from you, where we FT in the Winter (broadway and ellsworth). We spend time with our Jeep in those same areas, next time you are in the area reach out.
We were just up at that campground area a couple weeks ago, of course its a little to warm(HOT) to camp there now in August. We live here in Mesa. And your are right it is a beautiful park!!
That had some very interesting vegetarian and fun trails. I believe i would have had to pet the cactus too and would have gotten stuck (because I have).
I have a home in Mesa that’s minutes from this location, so I’m happy to help in any way I can with electricity, water, whatever! I’m in the White Mountains right now, because it’s TOO HOT, but just say the word and “I’m your Huckleberry.”
Great Video love Arizona can’t wait to make my way out there and do a little camping. What time of year was it since it was cool enough to wear jackets? Thanks again love the videos and have learned so much about RVing from you guys.
Since you started out with I assume a smart phone for videos. Couple of years moved to cameras, better video. Got knowledge and made even more beautiful videos. With that came more stress to be better. You have. What I want to know is since you have got to the top. Takes less time to set up shots, figure out what you will say and shoot the seen. Has you stress level come back to earth where you can have fun with this job? I know you love the travel, but running a business and doing so at the same time is a lot. As much as we love to see both of you, we want you enjoy this journey as much as we love seeing you do so. That was one reason I loved to see you get a cabin. Smell the roses. I have told you this before. Me and my bride ( of 36 yrs now, I will never stop calling her that ) went on a 32 day east coast trip from GA. Nomads in our car. Best trip of our lives because I got to spend it with my bride. End of day 31 in the Shenandoah Valley she said I miss our golden retriever Gracie. The next day we drove straight home for 8 1/2 hours to our house, missing multiple stops along the way. HOME was the calling. We are retired so we have options. But, family and friends are there for life. Work can be replaced. Enjoy life as much as you can, when you can. It passes by so much faster than you think.
looks like you lost the girls on a couple climbs... 😆 we just bought a 4 seater side x side bought a rack put it ontop our dually cause it don't fit in our toy hauler.. talk about scared all the way from Oregon to Arizona and back home. But made it safe and sound, got some thumbs up down the road and some wide eyed looks.. 😅
Love your videos. Great description of your tour of AZ. Love the dog. (We are dog lovers) Learn lots from your videos. Love your chemistry!!! Can't wait to RV in AZ.
I know there is nothing to do with the truck in this video, but I have a question for you. We are looking to upgrade from our 3500 RAM SRW to a F450 dully and I was wondering what kind of gas mileage you are getting with the truck when NOT pulling the rig?
Just before ur vid came up, I had finished watching a news report that left a bitter taste in my mouth, ugh. I'm thankful for channels like yours. The off-road vehicle, wow! That was, harrowing😬 I saw me life flashing before me eyes. The drivers switched up as the going got rougher. The ladies were smart to have gotten off for a bit during a monstrous climb. Tara didnt seem shaken but pumped! The cactus 🌵🌵 out of this world!Spotted a barrel cacti and many other incredibly beautiful varieties👍
