I wonder why more people do not talk about this. The situation in Cameroon is very serious and people have protested. Yet, no news coverage. The average French citizen is not fully versed in terms of what their govt does in its 'former colonies'
@@bestafro5335 he is protecting his country, his people and he is making sure that the responsibility or blame is shared, and that is how a president should be and as Congolese I am ashamed of our leaders who are incapable of protecting and defending us, that's why I said I respect him this man despite whatever he may have or done
Tough questions can be embarrassing but when it comes to the Rwandan president, such questions always ends up proving how wise he is; and he's been very consistent. Very down to earth. Hate him or like him, I just love him! 👌
@GSR. Guy Well noted sir yet he is doing better than most of the highly educated democratic 'saints' we've had in Africa since the europeans left who will appear to have never killed yet their policies, actions, inactions, indecisiveness, visionlessnes and lack of purpose have killed and continue to kill 1000s. He may owe the world an explanation or apology for one action or the other in the past or present but it still doesn't change the fact that President Kagame is a wise, decisive, visionary and transformational leader.
Stupid what has your education earned you?who was Habyarimana what were his achievements rather than massive killings.stop your nosense we are Rwandans we know his use to us.
he has been very frustrated by some questions especially concerning CRIMES...his words came far as he was in court! I'm wondering what could happen when he could be in trial...better for him to take refuge in remaining on power...
I am Sudanse and I have been in Rwanda, I loved Rwanda to death and loved Rwandan people and I do love our esteemed African president Paul Kagame the wise & intellectually intelligent. African have never and ever produced such incredible and intelligent president that look after interest of his people and his country, thank you Mr. President.
It's like being a great President he is a put down, and if it were the other way of being a poor president they would still put him down. The North wants to have Africa at the bottom. But PK is not playing their games.
Reconciliation is never a bad idea but my advice to Rwanda is never to trust France. France is not just dubious in its relationship with Africans, they are a hindrance to the progress of those countries they are deeply involved with, the French-speaking countries.
Accept their acknowledgement of their role. And that's it. france does not have Africa's interest at heart. They do not come as partners. But I know that kagame has more Intel about their nefarious motives.
I am an African who is francophone and I 100% agree with you never ever trust France. Please President Paul Kagame they befriend you and then take you down. France is a parasite country. President Kagame maybe is keeping his enemies closer.
Imagine if he has spoken in his first and own language how much he could've said in this interview???? He is being polite here... man if France leave from Africa we will prosper. Just like when you exterminate a bed bugs from your house so, you sleep deep for the first time. FREE AFRICA AND HER LAND.
Best President in the world? Few people in the world know that tiny country called Rwanda but the way your president talks u may think he owns the whole continent of Africa.
@@petermusoke6229 what is the problem of saying things the way they should be said? People that have always had their chin down are the one that come up with such a comment. Stop hating on others that shows to the World how inequality is still at play even now. Support them instead, that should be the African spirit.
The guys is always able to reply to any questions even the tough one wisely. Rwadan peoples are lucky to have Kagame as a Leader. What a president ? happy RWANDA
I wish Africa had 10 more presidents like Kagame. This country bled in 1994 and it needed such strong and patriotic leadership to rise up from the ashes. Viva Kagame
27 years after the genocide and almost half of the interview is on the genocide. More has happened in Rwanda than the genocide. I get people feel guilty but I think Kagame is more interested in economic deals than apologies that wont pay Africa's bills.
More has happened, true. But the criminals are still moving around free. And one of them is in a RU-vid video that you commented on, how is that irrelevant? How can you write a r3tard3d comment like this? Ign0rance is bliss
@@mirkowolf5897 I'm not in the business of speculating who is responsible and who is not. That was never my point. I am simply saying Rwanda is more than a genocide. I do not see any American presidents being interviewed like this 17 years after the Iraq war and its resulting atrocities, and yet Iraq has not recovered in the manner that Rwanda has. So I get you dont like Kagame (and I am not defending him) but I believe Rwanda is interested in way more than talking about a pulverising genocide considering how hard it has tried to rebuild itself beyond that. In short I am not being ignorant but I believe proportionality must be exercised from western media in dealing with Africa.
@@zenge.simakoloyi546 You have no excuse whatsoever for praising a criminal because he is supported by the West and have money etc George Bush went into Iraq as a leader leading an army working with other countries' armies following a UN resolution. You cannot compare Kagame's invasion of Congo, where he went by himself and his army and the invasion of Iraq which was UN backed. On top of that, Kagame's army killed more than 6 millions Congolese, nobody from his army ever taken to court until today. Any US soldier who killed in Iraq and got caught has been prosecuted. Rwanda has been stealing Congo minerals until today and you are here praising looters and criminals, this is why Africa will never develop Most of you lack common sense. I do not hate Kagame, I hate criminals. A criminal who has not yet answered for his crimes cannot be praised They ask him about the genocide of course again, *because he was behind it,* whenever they say they want to investigate his involvement in that genocide he says he is innocent but adds that he shouldn't be investigated. *What does that tell you* *This is clearly an unresolved case and people with common sense will keep on asking that question*
@@mirkowolf5897 right, thank you for your response and claiming I’ve no common sense after answering to your comment. Perhaps you haven’t read anything I commented but it think I made it clear “I am not in the business” of accusing who is and is not responsible for the genocide and the atrocities. As for your implicit support of the Iraq war coz “other countries “ also were part of it, that’s unfortunate. And if you know your Congo war histories you’d know that multiple countries were involved in the Congo Wars resulting in the tragic deaths of 6 million people. This is something perhaps you should take to account. Accusing me of praising Kagame for getting western money, that’s really not my problem if you think that coz it’s really not what I said even in the slightest. I was referring to a RWANDAN EFFORT not a Kagame effort to rebuild Rwanda beyond the genocide. So stop forcing me to sound like what you don’t like, I get what you’re doing and am afraid it’s really not working. In short you’ve gone on an unnecessary tangent giving me information I already know , without really tending to the substance of my comment - disproportionate focus on atrocities when Africa is more than its atrocities. :)
@@zenge.simakoloyi546 If I get it correctly, you are mad at me because I said they are right to ask about a known unresolved crime to somebody they think might have been involved. According to you, they have to ignore it and ask about progress when they only invited him to discuss what he is discussing. This was after the French gov report on Rwandan genocide, Kagame has been accusing France and now they are trying to bury the hatchet. Stay updated, you will protect your criminals better if you are well informed
President kagame is bold enough to shut the west, questions well tackled..I think is the really true African President who can speak his mind after mugabe of Zimbabwe
This man ,his intelligence , awareness self assurance …… I now see why Rwanda has transformed the way it has for such a short period of time . Africa needs leaders like you .
When you careful examine the questions asked here, they speaks volumes on the core interests of this platform! I couldn’t stop Imagining and waiting, in this 44mins, on the opportunity to learning about Rwanda today.
As a Nigerian I've watched several Western Journalist interview this man called Paul Kagame and one thing that baffles me is that these journalists usually ask him questions that samples western values as the best point of view, which I think is a wrong way to ask a man who understands that the world cannot be viewed from one lens or perspective in order to get the right view of things. Also, he always try to correct them and let them know that he's not against their view but they should respect other peoples view and what works for them in their own dynamic space. Also this idea of superiority and inferiority of whose values are best to fit and fix this dynamic space called Earth or the world as we may know it, will surely leave a bad taste in everyone's mouth because one size doesn't fit all. Truly "Democracy is not defined by the West"....💯
It is easy to President Kagame to talk about issues of Rwanda and Africa , he works so hard to ensure that problems are solved , he has the country and the continent at heart, and he knows he is giving everything he has, so he is ready and has nothing to fear. So get ready if you are journalist . We love you Mr. President
I am a Malawian and am proud of Paul Kagame, the way talks, the way tackle questions, how calm He is one day i will visit Him, not Rwanda but Him to be specific
Big respect to Rwanda for standing up for their people and exposing the crimes of France. When is France going to apologize for the crimes of colonisation ?
I wish I had so many ways of saying that I love this president. I am just so inspired by him; I want to be like him, I want to be him. I wish other African presidents were like him, and I wish he could be a president of all of Africa. Thank you for standing up for your own Kagame, we Africans are behind you.
I think it’s not right for African leaders to give interviews to European journalists. The western media is the worst enemy of the black people across the entire world.
@@leondelafonte Mugabe was a great revolutionary leader, but a bad president overall. He should have stepped down after the revolution and let more competent people take the weel

Well tell your President to be extremely careful, he need to stop going to European countries and giving them interviews. They do that when they want to eliminate you.
I am a huge admirer of Paul Kagame, he should be held as an example, and imitated. A role model, absolutely amazing. Usually there are too many people with hate out there, even governments teach their population to hate others. He wants to make the future better, that is the way to go.
@@missilestinger7045 Why not, Paul Kagame build an exemplary economy for Rwanda, if he goes the country could revert to chaos and civil war. All of Africa should model them selves on him. They would do a lot better. The West is silly to demand a full democracy from a country that is fragile, Paul Kagame has to deal with potential future trouble and another Genocide, I am sure he worries about that the most. His job is very difficult, and he has done amazingly well. Its a hard game these ethnic conflicts, they can be very dangerous. He is absolutely right that the anyone supporting the perpetrators of the Genocide, they should be hunted down. No human should ever be permitted to kill another.

Now call one of the French men be it a president or those complicit in genocide to be interviewed in Rwanda. No one can withstand I'm pretty much sure. Call the UN officials operating in Congo to be interviewed for their role, you will understand who is actually at the top of regional conflict.
