I don't know if people realize this or maybe they do but, his hand crafted 1 of 1 work and these Porsche's are and will be something special. It seems sad to say but there will be a time when this man wont be able to do this anymore. You all that are able to afford this are meeting a legend and are privileged in receiving ORIGINALS of his work and I think that is amazing.
Well said Decside! I knew of Naki's work before he got famous. I was researching car aero since I was studying car design. At the time(1999 to 2004), there's no youTube, Facebook to access and I came cross his car (colored flesh pink) on the front page of a magazine. I remember thinking this design may get far and definitely got my attention. Anyways we live in an modern materialistic age so it is nice to see, live and capture the moment of a master at work. I always envy at how quick and smooth he can do this regardless of being jet-lagged and out of his atmosphere.
Anybody that’s been doing body work for multiple years can chop a car apart and stick some fiberglass/polyurethane shit on it. He uses a damn calk gun for the rubber trim and spray paints some lettering on the tires. It’s just if you know a lick of anything that has to do with working on cars, nothing he’s doing is special.
I think they are stupidly low and the rear wing looks like a 5 year old design. Too wide too. Basically.... you can t compare this crap with the real deal... a Singer. These are most likely shit to drive on the road.
These are absolutely insane! I love these so much and I hope that I could save up for a 993 and get a RWB kit for it. These will be worth millions in a few decades when he can’t make them anymore, and they wouldn’t be made ever again. He has no posterity and no one else works at his shop other than him. These are just as amazing as a stock 930/964/993 and each one has its own personality. The cars are just absolutely phenomenal! People can hate, but imo they are just masterpieces. It’s like any other work of art and should be given some respect and appreciation for the car. Nakai-San has so much experience and these cars keep him going-it’s his hobby and that is just very empowering. You can hate, but don’t bash a man on his hobby. It’s like bashing a 12 year old for playing CoD. Just let the guy do his thing and stay happy. He’s living his life so happily and thoroughly enjoys every second of it which is something we all can relate to.
I've watched so many RWB videos in the last couple days, holy shit I'm in love... Honestly, I've always loved Porsches but these are on a new level. True dream car.
Brandon Br watched a video some years ago where the guy said the average cost was $130k after a year long wait. Can only imagine wait times & prices have gone up since.
I like the car, even if I don’t know if the build is really practical & why Nakai is celebrated like a rockstar for installing a kit, any reasonable body kit technician could do. But good for him. But what I’m really stunned about is the camera work. The cuts on the beat at the track serenity are just blowing my mind. Awesome job nxtlvl!!!
Hes the creator of what RWB is. not only this but he builds the cars for quality assurance to ensure that all RWB builds are of the standard that he expects. best way to think of it is any decent artist can draw a picture, but its not as powerful or as valued as having it being painted infront of you by the person who did it first and is world renowed by it for.
He is the perfect example of high low art for car customization. Exquisite paint jobs and rims, then rattle can stencil on the wheels, freehand cutting the arches, and a handmade wide body kit bolted (with them showing) on to a Porsche.
