@@frankg2790 Salem does the same and yet she not hated ozma isn’t at fault I feel bad for him he died and was brought back to life and was forced to fight her and lose his children and is forced to fight her for the sake of humanity “ I am not the villain of this story I do what I must do because I have no other choice”
She kind of did, though. She’s a bit sympathetic, yeah, but at the same time, she actively provoked the gods after they (somewhat reasonably) refused to revive her dead boyfriend, and she provoked them by trying to destroy two impossibly powerful beings using their own magic. Pretty much every bad that happens to her after Ozma’s death is her own fault. Not to mention that the god of Light’s monologue to Salem implies that she’ll turn mortal again as soon as she recognizes the importance of the balance between life and death, or at least it implies that her recognizing it will eventually lead to her regaining her mortality, so it’s not like she screwed up once and was never given a chance at redemption.
@@mr.cup6yearsago211 No, she didn't. The Brother Of Light told Salem to fuck off when she made the reasonable request to have her lost loved one brought back to life, forcing her to resort to deceit. Once that deceit was revealed, they forced immortality on her and the Brother Of Light gave a cold hearted and indifferent speech. It was no surprise that she lead the Rebellion against those two assholes, one that gained the support of kings and queens. And how did the "Gods" react to this act of defiance? Oh, yes. They destroyed the human race, shattered the moon, and abandoned Remnant. And to pour salt in the wound, the Brother Of Light, the asshole who caused this entire mess, played poor Ozma like a cheap fiddle along before tossin' him in another man's body, causin' the entire conflict between Ozpin and Salem.
@@frankg2790 that’s all not really the point. The thing is that all the brothers ever did was react. Salem was the one actively challenging them over not bringing Ozma back to life, something which really doesn’t matter that much in the grand scheme of things. Salem was the one who refused to take the hint after being denied by the Brother of Light, and then again when they made her immortal. The brothers reactions may have been unnecessarily cruel, but the bottom line is everything could’ve been avoided if Salem had stopped trying to revive Ozma after being denied the first time. She was told to stop by literal gods, and kept going anyway. That doesn’t necessarily make her evil for doing so, because the gods are admittedly total dicks, but it does make her stupid for doing so, and it makes it hard for me to say she didn’t deserve her fate.
