I don't know why...but this song speaks to me on a deep level. Probably because i am mute irl, and i just crave to be needed...and wanted. Always looking for the best in people, without seeing my own, hence why the lyrics "I'm the loneliest of all." Hit's me so hard.

I understand the pain and sorrow in this song. I am middle-age in real life and understand the pressure of others doing what they want and give up on your own dreams. At times I just want to hide and be alone.

Weiss' whole character and arc hit home for me. Never truly allowed to express or discover myself which left me generally cold, distant, skeptical, critical, and honestly lost. It's as much about Weiss being 'sad' as it it is her being uncertain. She literally has no idea who she is or wants to be because always just told who to be and barely how. From the outside looking in, Weiss' life seems glamorous because her family is wealthy, but it's actually bleak and empty because her basic human needs are never met.

The two dislikes are from her father and brother

This song reminds me of my many experiences of having Aspergers/High Functioning Autism and wanting to fully express myself emotionally and socially, but being unable to due to my neurological condition and constant social expectations working against me. I have had many failed friendships over the years due to miscommunications or neurological differences, and I know what deep, crippling, loneliness feels like more than most people that I know. Weiss Schnee is also a comfort character for me, and I really relate to her character arc of finding herself and her uncertainty about her life.

This may sound cheasy, but a good amount of these lyrics are a direct representative of my life. I was raised in a cult and I never felt like I belonged. I always felt alone and judged about everything. I was raised by Jehovah's Witnesses... I never had a hard life when it comes to a roof or food. Though I was always judged for having feelings. I couldn't love or find my own path. It was always just follow Jehovah... I never felt a God or anything. Just my feelings and logic (an a person with Aspergers). It took me to the point of suicide 3 times to leave it, and even more to leave. I was homeless several times. I eventually found people who cared about me. Though ut took me years to feel somewhat accepted to the people around me. I'm loved for who I am. This song helps me remember my past is a great part of me. I can't change it but it can help me in the future as a person.

I can relate to this. For Weiss, it's seriously a child abuse but no one believes her. She just wants freedom and bring her family name back. I think... I don't know how to say it but honestly, she needs love, like all of us, and attention that makes her happy. After all, please spend some time with her and give her all she needs

Coming to this song after my mom just told me I have no valid reason to be depressed even after all my trauma and abandonment issues

To me it seems that songs that are specific to the character says something about that character that has to be known

I could never relate to this song, because my family was poor and, in a technical sense, is still poor. However, pretty much everyone in my family works full time to get what we need.

i relate to this so much. especially part 2. it hits close to home. being in a upper middle class household and having all your friends envy your life. but doesn't see what really goes on. Having to live up to my family's name. But never seeing approval from my parents. But i'm willing to ruin my family's name. to escape from the hell I call home. never feeling like i belong anywhere. just wanting to make my parent's proud but knows that'll never happen. wishing that my friends wouldn't envy my life.
