Well, I would say that Salem was best girl back when she and Ozma were married. But as of now, I can't decide between Yang and Blake. And no, I don't ship Bumblebee. While it's tempting to ship two of the show's hottest women, it would be a too soon as of now. They're damn good friends, though.
When you finish with the "but only when" videos for Volume 7, you should go back and do this from Volume 1 to current. Granted, it may take awhile, but I'd be game for it. Just an idea. :)
@@DocMicrowave more like she questioned it but Ruby was mainly worried about his reaction to the truth since in the previous volume everyone nearly quit when they learned the truth and Ironwood has way more responsibility than they did so it was entirely possible he would react very negatively and spiral out of control like they did the only reason he hasn't yet his because he using his semblance to hyper focus on dealing with Salem and the Grimm without that I feel like he would've collapsed like Qrow did
Nicolas Neal. Well, I can try (but fail) to convince myself that Ruby not giving the truth and all the details to Ironwood initially was because she was unsure of his mindset and where he stood on things. But after 7x2 going forward, it should have become clear that Ironwood was a good guy, on their side and was fighting the good fight - with what limited information he had. He aided them, patched them up, gave them training, improved weapons, included them in high level plans and secret missions. If that didn't encourage any level of trust from RWBY, I don't know what would. The longer Ruby held back with giving him the info, the more I knew it was going to get uglier and uglier as the chapters went by. And when it did come time to give Ironwood (some) info, the writing had Oscar conveniently step in to do it. Shielding Ruby from taking any responsibility at the time and having to face him. The behind the scenes stuff RWBY was doing, capped off with Ironwood learning the truth by overhearing the conversation between Ruby and Salem, combined with his mindset, his reaction could go no other way. Ironwood was put in a very small box. Technically speaking, Ruby has given No factual information to Ironwood since the start of V7. I hope that Ruby and company at least come to terms with their involvement at some point. Sadly, its pretty much a done deal now thanks to episode 8x1. Played out to show Ironwood as totally evil.
Blake and Yang are the only 2 characters from the kids that actually questioned wat the adults were telling them to do and they actually were thinking for themselves.....I'm so proud
These 'only when ____ speaks' spots highlight the problem of balance in such stories. With multiple lead characters, it becomes tough to keep all of them relevant each volume. I do think KRWBY has worked out this pretty well in time. Great post, I'mStrange. 😎👍🌹 (My mistake!! CRWBY, not KRWBY.... 😵😆😅)
1) only 3 minutes of dialogue? oof our poor dragon! still, i do not get the hate against her some people have, yeah she spent time w Blake, but i think they deserved some downtime after that lifetime movie nonsense! And it wasnt like they just spent all their screen time making out, they were talking abt important stuff like trusting Ironwood! Eh i guess mostly people who dont like the Bees... hope they get better soon tbh, and i think Vol 8 will be more character stuff as a opposed to plot like w this Vol so hopefully we get more stuff then. 2) who else are planning on doing these for? Just the RWBY gals or anyone else? these r rlly good, thanks for ur work!
It’s more so that she doesn’t do anything that I’ve really liked. Nothing Bee really appeals to me, and I feel like that’s her entire character now. I hate how since they’ve all been reunited she’s been putting Blake ahead of Ruby. Just little things man- like grabbing Blake’s hand and running out of a room full of danger... leaving her little sister behind in it. Just small little one second scenes like that. I loved the confrontation with Raven ngl I thought that was really good, but to me that’s Yang’s last good moment. Victory against Adam felt totally underserved but I was happy to see Adam die just because of how bad of a villain he was. Like at least he’s out of the show now and I don’t have to roll my eyes when I see him. Remember Volume 2 when we were all excited to see Adam and see what he could do? Man... XD The team dynamic is totally fucked up imo. One of the biggest things I was looking forward to was the team getting back together and when it happened at the end of volume 5 I was looking forward to it. But it’s literally not TEAM RWBY anymore it’s just Ruby, Weiss, and then the couple. You got closer to two pairs of two rather than one group of four. Not the same team it used to be imo. Volume 7 did impress me a lot, so I’m looking forward to the future. I just think there’s a reason Blake and Yang have been sidelined as much as they have and I don’t hate them doing it to try and improve the show.
Goose Dunce I appreciate you taking the time to address all of my complaints I a friendly way and not getting offended just because we don’t like the same things 🤝🥺🥺
0:17" But it's not protecting them, it's making everyone hate you-" "YEAH" 0:42 "That's...disgusting-" "Wait until she sees what she can do with her eyes" 0:50 "We almost died." "After everything we've been through, I almost forgot this is what I wanted in the first place..."
"We did... what we had to do." "Then maybe we shouldn't." "No. You just said that... to lure out Watts." "Me too." "You can't just back down from a fight!" "Really?"
Her scenes were limited mostly to interacting with Blake, so not so surprising. The total time for Blake speaking in the volume is about 1 second longer in another video.
It's kinda sad that one of the four titular characters get less than 3 minutes of dialogue in a 4 hour long volume. And most of her dialogue is together with Blake. I wish she would talk more to Weiss and especially Ruby. It doesn't feel like they're sisters anymore.
Weiss's dialogues and screen time are equal to the amount of Yang and Blake :'0. Hope in volume 8 they would have more focus and interact with others more.
It took the sum of Yang and Blake's onscreen lines to equal Weiss's. Individually she had far more speaking lines than either one of them. On top of that, most of Y/B speaking lines were to each other. I also feel what Weiss had to say had more substance than Y/B whose role in the volume was mostly confined to BB fanservice. I do hope the address that in V8. Get Yang and Blake to interact with other charcters for a change. The teaser they just dropped seem to depict Yang interacting with Jaune, Ren and Oscar. With no Blake in site. It looks encouraging.
@@DocMicrowave well I think that move of CRWBY is nice, and also let Nora and Blake talk about their relationship with their romantic interests (Ren and Yang) is way better than just Yang and Blake only interact with each other. The problem here is that not because Yang and Blake only spend time with each other, the main flaw here is that they don't interact much with other people.
@@sionming9064 Well, be careful with having high hopes about Yang and Blake interacting with other people. After all, that so called 'WIP' teaser they dropped, may actually be .... a tease! A random scene taken out of context. That Blake and Yang may continue to be tied at the hip throughout V8 in every other scene. Pretty much back to business as usual. (Gotta keep the BB fans well fed. They wouldn't tolerate anything less.) It's also possible RT heard the lament of fans over Yang and Blake's performance in V7. Having been reduced to shipping fodder, unable to do anything separately and little participation with anyone or anything else in the story. That teaser could have been directed mainly at those fans, as if to say "Hey look! We're shaking things up for V8." That clip was very interesting after all. - Yang, no Blake. - Ren, no Nora. - Oscar, no Ruby. - Yang apparently traveling with and interacting with a group of characters she hasn't said two words to since V5. Still, i won't get my hopes up. I have been burned before by this show.
Lots of people are bashing on Yang. Not here but vexed has a video coming out on why Yang's the worst. I'm just glad I saw this cause Yang has always been my favourite idk exaxtly why but this video makes me see that Yang has not changed in a bad way imo. And that she has actually had really strong moments this volume. You can see her maturity.
People who hate Yang are just people who hate her being a strong thoughtful girl who stands up for what she believes in, and they want her to go back to being the "blonde bimbo"
hmm Yang didnt instantly forgive her, back in the train to Argus vol 6 ep 1 and during the time when they're in the Brunswick farm she was really harsh towards Blake, but I'm glad after that they reconcile with each other.
I think it would have been more interesting if Yang sided with Ironwood kinda like Ren. One of my main nit picks for this volume is all of team rwby feel the same, completely interchangeable with each other. If they actually had different view points but were able to work together as a *TEAM* and compromise it would have been better. What the views could have been Ruby: she wants to help the people of mantle and is to stubborn to see the benefits of Ironwoods plan. Weiss: she’s a little iffy but sides with Ironwood, prioritizing her home over mantle. Blake: sides with Ruby because protecting the people of Mantle specifically the Faunus is her priority. Yang: able to see the big picture and siding with ironwood showing that she has gotten smarter and not so narrow minded.
A big part of this volume is the fact that Yang doesn't agree with Ruby's decision to lie to Ironwood, but she goes along with Blake's plan to tell Robyn. There are plenty of instances like this. If you think they're interchangeable, you aren't paying attention. And they all go against Ironwood because they're not dumb. Ironwood is doing exactly what Salem wants, and they know this because of their experience with Salem's forces.
