@@mk1kieran That is why 700hp+ plus empty red bull tins that run 10s dont impress me, even add another engine and they are still slow. for the weight carried. Hellcats and demons weigh 4400lb and will go 9's almost stock. Thanks for inc some bike racing. .

Interestingly, in 1997 I owned & drag raced a TVR Cerbera 4.2 V8 (AJP) here at Santa Pod & York Dragway It was standard Production, and had been Dyno'd at 334bhp, and weighed just 1,189Kg It consistently ran mid-12 seconds, with a PB of 12.33, and a terminal of 139mph Tyres were the terrible Ol' Skool Pirelli SO-1's, so launch grip was always a challenge A lot of these standard looking production sports cars here are getting similar/slightly better 1/4 mile times - but still, nowhere near matching the TVR's massive terminal speeds . . . even with over twice the power output & torque Proving that tyre technology and traction control are the 'Kings' in modern cars . . . and they are frequently 'done' by the 1/8 mile. . . 24yrs ago 334bhp was . . . . enough !
