It appears that there may be an issue with your current setup. Instead of using 2 by 8GB DDR4 RAM, consider upgrading to 32GB 3600MHz or utilizing all 4 slots for better performance. I have a similar setup and achieve around 290fps on Monster Hunter World at 1440p with a Ryzen 9 5900X. Having at least 32GB of RAM is crucial, especially if you are using Windows 11 with an AMD processor. The increase from 16GB to 32GB RAM has shown noticeable improvements in performance, making operations smoother and faster. Keep in mind that Windows 10/11 consumes around 5-6GB of RAM, leaving you with limited space for other tasks. Upgrading to 32GB RAM can significantly enhance your system's capabilities and rasterization performance. In my experience, I can run Monster Hunter World at 4K with around 110fps on my setup without overclocking. At 1440p, I achieve approximately 290fps, which is ideal for a 240Hz display. The XTX should outperform the 7900 GRE by almost 1.3 times, based on my tests. It's possible that the Ryzen 5 5800X3D is not as efficient as the Ryzen 7 7800X non-3D, which could be affecting your performance. I am currently using the XFX merc edition for the gre 7900, which is a powerful GPU, but unfortunately not powerful enough for my needs. I have a 1440p 240hz monitor and I am looking to upgrade my rig so I can play games at 240hz and above. I have also considered a 360hz monitor for competitive gaming, which seems like a cool option. My current rig consists of a Ryzen 9 5900x with 64mb L3 cache, while the 5800x3d has 84 L3 cache and 16 L2 cache, totaling around 100mb cache. In terms of cooling, I am using a Corsair ih150 360ml radiator, and even with overclocking, my thermals while gaming stay around 50C with precision boost overdrive on. The only time it reaches 60C is during rendering or stress tests for overclocks. I have positioned the radiator in the front as an intake, with 3 fans for exhaust. Additionally, my room temperature is around 73 degrees Fahrenheit at night, and I have a Vornado fan that helps cool the room effectively. This fan can lower the temperature by 10-14 degrees Fahrenheit, making it feel much cooler. So having ac at nightime set to 74, with that fan blasting makes it close 65 ambient temps for the room. Which is great cause it's on the floor aimed at my desk, where it air hits me and the front fan intakes it. SO i would check out your cooling and maybe the ryzen 5 5700x3d isn't fully utulizing the performance.
