My father had the RX135 for about 18 years. Due to some situations we had to give it away. Boy I loved the bike as soon as I started learning to ride a bike.

For the youth, two earth shaking events happened in the early-mid 80s, one private engineering colleges were allowed in my state and the second was automobile manufacturing saw the entry of the Japanese. In the two wheeler sector, first was the AX 100, then came CD 100, KB 100, Rx 100, also the Kinetic Honda. Before that we had a lucky few ones with scooters, and the Rajdoots Yezdis and the Bullet. A lot can be written about them, but one memory is imprinted in my mind, that of Iranians, gentlemen, formally dressed, black shoes, bush shirts, trousers, crew cuts, with their woman pillion rider of whom one thing I remember is that they were fashionably dressed but they covered their head (idk perhaps they were related to the Ancien Régime, and so stranded in India after the Islamic revolution) burning the tarmac on their amazingly tuned Yezdis. AX 100 was the early bird, it was light and zippy, CD 100 was a practical no nonsense boring bike, the KB 100 was a wonderful machine, a friend had it before it was launched in a big way, it had a tachometer that none of the other bikes had afaik. Now let me come to the RX 100; for a testosterone bubbling mid teen, it had a sigh factor, performance wise there may be very little going between the RX 100 and the KB 100, but the RX 100 was evilly exclusive, more expensive, hard to get (there was a now rarely heard thing called “on”,) and burnt fuel like a sinner. She was the goddess who took human sacrifice, most of the time young daredevils, her devotees whom she didn’t want to get old, sometimes middle-aged, but young at heart bourgeois were punished for the salt and pepper affair. I have hardly ever ridden the RX 100, on the other hand in the late 90s, I’ve many a times nearly pushed the RX 135 to her limits. Nice fast bike, always with a little breath left no matter how much so ever you give her the throttle, but she was an anachronism, in the age of emission regulations. However RX 100 is, damn I wish I had a way with words, sigh!

Superb video n presentation... Rx100 is always a desirable bike with more fun quotient than rx135. Rx135 5speed model is good rather than 12 bhp first generation rx135 model. Indian rx135 n rxz original models were never having same engine as unlike their foreign versions. Only last models were that too after facing the heat from hero honda cbz...

We had a yamaha RXG in 2003 i it was our first bike i am lucky started to ride first time on yamaha. In 2007 we baught a brand new bajan discover 135 n my elder brother gave our yamaha to one of his friend. But now i miss my yamaha i love it.

RXZ is having sports body and sport look while Rx135 doesn't have sports body. Engine and parts number are different in RXZ and RX135. But, engine cubic capacity are same.
Bhai I have recently buy a splendor plus. 4 weeks ago....bhai 300 kms chal chuki hai aur 500 kms pe survice krani thi toh bhai abhi toh punjab mai curfew lga hai toh 1 month se 3 months tak service nhi kra sakuga ...toh bhai isse bike mai koi problem toh nhi aaiyegi na...PLZ reply bhai...bahut tenshon hai 😰😰😰😰😰😰
