How is it that the Z won everything, (Besides the race with the wrx) one driver said he preferred it and the other was undecided, but somehow the RX-8 won..? I've got nothing against the RX-8 but that makes no sense lol.
Nah, they're planning to put a new rotary engine in a crossover, aided by an electric engine. If it performs well, the same powerplant will be put on the new RX-7
Dude i used to own a 350z and when the road was wet it would break traction so quick! It was scary on the highway now in a mountain! Id be scared to drive like that!
No not exactly, I mean yes it drinks through fuel like a 60s big block so buy shares in Shell, however it only needs an oil change every 3k which is where you should be doing your oil changes anyway, but the oil use is to lube apex and side seals, you're better off converting it to suck 2 stroke through the OMP and premixing your fuel as well
+Andy Harris rx8 really doesn't require a decent track. They somehow manage to iron it all out and maintain unlikely speed and stability unless you want it to let it's ass hang out . It seems to me, that you have to go much further with it, to really understand how seemngly limitless the potential of this car really is.You've already opend your mind to it, despite the dissadvantages, so you should get all of the benefits. I probably don't need to tell you to have fun, but i'm knda insisting on it. have a nice life tooi.
+scanny bro my RX8 had no balls got beaten by civics but yes some handling..I have a 07 revup engine in my G35 would eat any RX8 you might have DE engine in yours witch isn't as fast..
+Gehtdi anschasau I owned the two cars so same driver and no fan boy look at my videos for proof. Tell you the truth why I really got rid of my RX8 it was overall peice of shit problem car if you think it's all that then you must not of owned a G35. Rotary are cool but garbage
smh, all these people in this comment section keep asking why the 350Z won the races but lose at the end... Didn't both of the drivers said the RX8 is more of a driver car so they rather pick the RX8 than 350Z? (Even the second driver think it's 50/50 but he likes the RX8 at first) I think most of the people don't understand are American. To American, straight line performance is everything. They don't understand the concept of steering feel, brake feel, well-balanced chassis, well-tuned suspension...etc
"Round one to the nissan" Yeah, take an over the top gen 3 350Z with 310HP and a bottom of the line 192 Hp Rx8 (that still beat it in 1st and 2nd). And it's YELLOW. Really, wtf.
Not only is the rx8 the 231 hp version (you can tell by the 6 gear box and the 9k redline), but also the 350 is the DE version with the 287 hp which is not the fastest thing out there, especially if you take weight difference into account. If it were the 313 ho HR model like you say, it would have smokes the rx8 even in first and second gear
They're not drag cars. The RX8 is a much more engaging drivers car, which much livelier handling characteristics, which is why it's one of the most successfully raced cars of the century. The Z is quicker in a line no doubt, but it's a much more dull driving experience that let's its shared corporate platform show.
Having owned both these cars, the RX8 is just a better car in almost every aspect; handling, interior, build quality, practicality. I think it wins in subjective categories like appearance and fun to drive as well. All the Z has over it is being quicker off the line and a bit more reliable.
If you guys don't know about all the success the RX-8 has had at 24 Hours of Daytona , SCCA and many other classes and courses, it's best to just keep your sarcastic comments to yourselves.
