The sign of a really well written song to me is when it can be done in different styles and still hit you. Ryan did an amazing version of this song. And that's a sign of a great artist, to sing with such conviction a song that he didn't even right and make you believe he did in fact write it.

this song means so much to me. i saw taylor swift in concert and she performed this and i had one of those bracelets that lit up to match the sound and so did everyone else so i was in the crowd with my mom and my best friend of 7 years along with about 50,000 other people just listening and singing along. it was amazing.
Best of all the covers. This brought me to tears. I've still yet to listen to Taylor's version. I guess I will check it out eventually. This version fulfills me!

One of Taylor's talents is taking a song with sad/heartbreaking lyrics and turn it into a fun, danceable experience. I like her version but I always wondered what it would be like if she did it acoustic. Ryan brings out the vulnerability and emotion behind the lyrics.

I wonder if Taylor is in some way in awe of what Adams has done with her songs... and inside realizing her limitations as a song stylist. Yeah, and she probably thinks about that as much as one dollar means to her bazillions. Anyway, clearly artistic superiority by Brian Adams here. Bravo.
Much, MUCH better then the original!!! If anything, Sir Ryan Adams justifies Taylor's songwriting talents in a way, sadly, she never can. Perhaps if she dropped the commercial pop song and dance, she could, but until then, she is merely pen and paper to me.

+Ron Belin what are you talking about "Swift manipulating Adam's" creations? 1989 was Taylor's album from 2014, all 16 songs written by her, that Adams then covered last year. I must admit, Adams does this song justice and I can't stop playing it on repeat.
