She basically said Cam couldn’t talk about those guys because he’s sitting at home and not on a team but with that logic she shouldn’t be talking about sports period
@@daddymcsnacks_561facts lol the issue isnt cam personally, until he decied he somehow sat above all these "game managers" when he had ONE good season
Unfortunately, his compassion didn’t extend to Tua… all the sports commentators say very stupid things at one time or another . Kimberly is particularly irksome because she’s petty and middle school mean girl….
Love how Ryan made references to himself, Stephen A Smith, Dan Orlovsky, and Kimberley Martin without name calling. That's the difference in professionalism and rachetism!
Facts. First Take is the formula for sensationalism and was for a while. But ever since the attention they got from Lavar Ball, they’ve gone over the top.
She was dead wrong in her comments. Cam Newton played on a high level consistently in the NFL. Took a team to the Super Bowl. I'll take his opinion over hers any day, when it comes to football, and quarterback critique.
Ryan Clark, I will give you your props now, you are one of the best and highly respected and well qualified analysts on sports channels that we love to hear from you on any topic pertaining to professional football and your colleagues who have played the game and provided us with the greatest experience of entertainment over the years, thanks for your time and professionalism that you have provided for us over the years.
THE AUDACITY OF A NON NFL FOOTBALL PLAYER PAST OR PRESENT FEELS JUSTIFIED ON COMMENTING ON NFL PLAYERS BUT DENEGRATING ACTUAL PLAYERS PAST OR PRESENT FROM COMMENTING IS BEYOND ME. THANK YOU RYAN PUTTING HER IN HER PLACE.
word to tommy sotomayor the fake grifter..but he was right on these believe their fake hair hat is actually their own in a delusional halloween fantasy.
Right she wrong as hell for that I'm glad Cam took the high road he could have said something about her hair or all that damn makeup she has on her face
Both Cam and Ryan's response was respectful as possible. It's sad a nationally televised channel(s) allowed poor journalism. Hopefully she reaches out to Cam with a grand apology because he took the high ground in his response. Additionally I hope she(they) stop this opinionated broadcast type and stop calling it news
He just unloaded the clip on basically his whole ESPN family & I caught the jab he took a Stephen A. Smith playing basketball at a HBCU and a reporter 😂😂😂 Well said Ryan!!!
Ryan probably was a lot more upset at the attacks than he displayed! Probably was holding back. Cause we all KNOW exactly the people he was talking about. He never does this 💯
I wish I could like this commentary 10K times...all I can say is much RESPECT to you Sir Ryan...way to stand in the valley and talk that talk...going against unpopular opinion and enlightening, educating, and enriching...the naysayers...I salute you brother!🫡

Say what you want about Cam, Ryan is 100% right. Cam Newton was once upon a time one of the 2 or 3 best QB’s in the NFL. His opinion with always carry weight because of his experience and what he’s done
Kimberly Martin never played football at all, but trying to say Cam Newton who played QB almost his entire life, won a Heisman, NFL ROY, NFL MVP, went to a Superbowl has less insight than her, but he is actually more qualified than any media or NFL Analyst on ESPN to assess & rate QB's. I have no idea why Shannon has an issue with Cam giving his opinion. WHY IS KIMBERLY SO ANGRY?

@@darrencrouch5468 tell me then.. what holes have been with the roster in the last 7 years? Definitely not the offensive line. We didn't have a standout at wide receiver. Mismanagement is what is hampering the Panthers. Incompetent GM and Owner. Cam suffered through that.
And they have gotten rid of the likes in Jalen Rose Keyshawn Johnson and a few others I can't think of right for the likes of some of these fools at ESPN
Ryan Clark is one of the smartest, most well-spoken analyst out there for ANY sport. And NOTHING he said is wrong. If you want to attack what Cam Newton said, that's fine. But attacking him for not being in the NFL anymore is ridiculous.
Cam responded with “Address the point I made, not me.” That’s the issue… it’s okay if you disagree with his opinion or takes. But the personal attacks, talking about his outfits, tearing down his career as if he wasn’t an MVP and Heisman winner is not real journalism.

Look, end of the day, everyone is entitled to their opinion. The lady spoke her mind. If Clark, or Cam Newton, or anyone else doesn't like it, too damn bad.
For a man that was comparatively undersized at his position and threw is body around with wreckless abandon on nearly every snap on the defensive side of the football, Ryan Clark is still one of the most intelligent analyist commenting on sports media today. He makes a sound and logical point regarding nearly every issue he discusses and I am a huge fan.
Man, shout out to RC for keepin it a milli, change your energy change your experience, change your perspective you immediately and simultaneously change both. Shout out to RC & Cam for giving us something to cheer for while they played the fucking game the right way.💯
Now with all what Ryan Clark has said in regard to addressing Cam opinion is exactly what she should have done… ADDRESS HIS OPINION ONLY!!! Instead She automatically comes out her face attacking this man’s wardrobe and talking from his mother’s basement while the other four sit there and pretty much say nothing in his defense. Now would Cam be wrong if he decided to attack her lace front and not knowing S@#% about his stats or the game period and never have played because your a woman so sit there quiet and try to look cute for the camera… YES.. He would have definitely received backlash for that and then some. BUT..instead, he remained respectful and professional in response. Her comments were trash and she should’ve been checked right then and there for disrespecting this man..PERIOD
Cam Newton has the right to his opinion, and he has certainly earned the right to have that opinion as an ex NFL player and League MVP. Doesn't make his opinions sensible on everything that he says. Making ad hominem attacks against him rather than what he said is wrong.
Came was considered the best player in the league when he won his MVP. With Brady, Manning, and Rodgers all in their prime. And Cam was able to outplay all 3 of them his MVP year. Not many players in nfl history could've done that
Bum ass sucked in the Super Bowl. Calling Purdy a game manager. He’s a typical maladetta scimmia. He needs to learn to keep quit, before he checks into a wooden coat quick.
In 2015, Cams MVP season: 15 QBs has more passing yards. 26 QBs had a higher completion percentage who at least started 10 games. 3 QBs had the same amount of TDs and 1 had more. 9 QBs, who started at least 10 games had less interceptions. 6 QBs had a higher rating.
Ryan Clarke is a class act. You can disagree with someone's opinion and even go to the extent of dissecting that opinion aggressively, but there's no need to take personal shots. This happens on TV and amongst friends. To me, it means there is a lack of substance.

Eventually we will get to see how Purdy does being paid while throwing to wideouts like Mahommes is doing this year. Or Brady did his entire career besides that one Moss year.
Just because people disagree with Cam Newtons take, they go at his career..Makes no logical sense.. If Tom Brady would've said the exact same thing, would the statement be any less truthful?
If Tom Brady said the same thing....all of ESPN, including this hack Kimberly, would be saying that Tom Brady should be named Time Magazines Person of the Year!!
You are 100% right. The problem is cams opinion is so stupid and proves his football IQ is very low. Tua,Dak and Purdy are game managers ? Purdy might win the mvp this year

He broke that down very well. I still wonder why the hell Stephen A. can say whatever about ALL sports and I’ve never seen him pick up a ball. If so. What did he play?
Well said Ryan Clark. I know the sports networks like creating certain narratives to have us celebrate their "chosen" players. Example: Chris Canty spoke ill about Russell Wilson saying he wasn't fooled by his TD to INT numbers and high passer rating (see First Take episode where they discuss "does RW3 deserve an apology"). He pointed to a stat I've never heard him use, Intended air yards/pass attempt. At the time, RW3 was next to last, ahead of only Bryce Young. As of this morning, RW3 is ahead of Jared Goff, Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow among others. I doubt the same negative points using this data will be shared. Also, in Drew Brees' last great season in 2019, he finished dead last in this stat and it was never mentioned. Could it be Sean Payton's system? Who cares as long as you win.
She wrong, this women wearing a blond wig and a ton of make-up got personal she didnt address what Cam said, she's the typical female she got emotional

Cam can speak on the subject. At one time he was league mvp and took his team to the Superbowl. By any stretch he had a successful NFL career. She on the other hand has never played football at any level. In a league trying to find a place for women to participate while men are resisting this change, she talks like this to reinforce the idea that women should not be on NFL discussion panels. As a Hispanic male in a predominantly white field of work here in the US (Engeneering) I can tell you that you have to be responsible to your constituents and be the best that you can be when you represent a small minority in a field, when so many miilions of people would like to be in your seat. I remember talking to a few Hispanic electricians who wished that they had the opportunity to be engineers and told me how fortunate I was. I told them that it took me 7 years to earn my 4 year degree but i worked hard, studied hard to be good and once I got in the door, I worked even harder and I'm never careless about my career. You can't blow rare opportunities in life and reinforce stereo types. Although there are many hispanic or Latino engineers in Latin America, in the U.S, we are rare and I am mindful of my performance.
Ryan Clarke is a sharpe, well worded brotha who thinks before he speaks and articulates his points well enough for a first grader to comprehend! Much respect my brother!!
