A lot of people seem to question if this was actually Ryan Dunn's last appearance. I would like to set the record straight that sadly, it was his last TV appearance. This was recorded on June 8th. Only 2 weeks shy of his passing on June 20th. R.I.P www.etonline.com/tv/111812_Exclusive_Clip_Steve_O_and_Ryan_Dunn_Compete_on_Minute_to_Win_It
I met Ryan Dunn 2 months before he died. I was on vacation from Australia to USA and was in Hollywood on the first night. I spotted Ryan walking by and asked him for a photo. He was the nicest dude, nothing was a problem, he was like ( yeah sure man). Fuckn highlight of that trip.
I love that they actually practiced and spent time trying to learn all these challenges to win for their charities. RIP Dunn, and good to see Steve O clean and healthy. Even here he’s looking good
@@logo8099 he been sober for 10+ years so I think the time of this footage he was probably a few months out of rehab so he probably was clean for a year I could be wrong but 5 months ago bam was saying he been clean 10+ yrs
It’s incredibly sad knowing how easily Ryan Dunn and his friend’s death could’ve been prevented had they just taken a cab home not to mention they could’ve put many other lives in danger as well. Never drive intoxicated guys please be safe. With that being said we all make mistakes from time to time but unfortunately this was a fatal one but Rest In Peace to Ryan Dunn and his friend Zach Hartwell who they mentioned was a really good guy as well.
@@ryandavids1129 He entertained many people world wide and his death was untimely and yes in a way he took someone life as with his own. It's l Horrible in anyway you look at it.
The dice balancing was a tough one to watch.. “for the kids” Steve shouts.. and man.. you know they’ve already had that talk about Ryan’s drinking. Tough one to watch. I miss Ryan, he had a big heart. Btw these adverts are a pain in the ass.
This is the episode were Steve-o caught Dunn chugging a bottle of liquor behind the scenes, and Steve-o called him out on wtf he's doing. Dunn replied that he needed to drink cuz he had the shakes and was an alcoholic. And that was the last time they talked.
I'd have more sympathy for him if he was an alcoholic that took cabs. If he was that self-aware he shouldn't have been screaming around in a Porsche endangering everyone else.
@@NEO-TROPOLIS I'm implying that dunn was a selfish, drunk, pile of garbage who killed a man based on his foolish actions. But for some reason everyone wants to hold him up so high, people act as if he was some kind of saint. Tired of this celebrity worshipping.
Who would have thought that steveO would be the one out of all the jackass crew to be absolutely winning in life. Total sweetheart of a guy and always puts everyone before himself.
The challenges seem simple but when the time is ticking, the pressure is on. A roller coaster of a show. The host is good at observing and pointing out the positivity to keep them going.
Okay,..1 time then.. Steve o caught Ryan backstage loading up on alcohol ... And again Steve o caught Ryan backstage loading up on alcohol ... And again Steve o caught Ryan backstage loading up on alcohol ...
It’s sad to know now that the reason Ryan was so shakey was because he was withdrawing from alcohol. When you are an alcoholic and have not consumed alcohol In as little as a handful of hours that your body will start to shake. Having been an alcoholic myself I can’t imagine how light-headed he feels also.
That's a bold statement, did you know Ryan? How do you know it's DT's and not nerves from being on national TV doing timed challenges? The guy is gone that's the sad part not your f ed up guess. But I do feel better knowing your life was in shambles at some point.🤭
I crossed the line when I was referring to your life being in shambles, I apologize. I might be making internet history! I've never seen a apology written in the comments. To everyone have a great day.and thanks to Ryan's mom and dad for making Ryan the person we all enjoy still
Cant believe i never saw this episode until now, years later and witnessing it still fully and truly makes my heart hurt and miss Ryan Dunn greatly. His attitude, personality, and quick witty under-breath comments and remarks are fully iconic and one of a kind. RIP sir, you are missed by so many every single day, no doubt about it. Congrats Steve-o on youre sobriety and take charge handle on all that is you as a truly unique 1 in 1,000,000,000 individual so glad things made a turn for you where you were able to do this and compete seriously for such a Great cause. Two old jackasses showing the world that you can be known as one thing but only when there is a time and place, and when the time comes that is just not the place your best will come out and shine so there is NEVER just one side of anyone so NEVER judge anyone EVER. Cheers
Damn I am happy I have found this. I definitely haven’t seen it! So it’s nice to see something new with someone who tragically isn’t here with us anymore. RIP DUNN!! 😖
That is so sad man. Honestly though at least he was not afraid to admit it. I did notice at times while watching where he looks noticeably uncomfortable. Dunn probably had to have a drink prior to coming to the studio just to get through it...😳
@@evan937 i guess he also had a debilitating body pain he was constantly dealing with. Im forgetting what exactly it was but it was in the Ryan dunn tribute or documentary
@@cwatson42785 Yup, during the end of jackass 2, Bam and Dunn got dragged by a horse and Dunn ended up getting a bloodclot in his shoulder, which could have killed him.
I think Steve-O and everyone else knew Dunn was an alcoholic long before this TV taping. I think it hit Steve-O when Dunn told him he would get the shakes. Jackass was like a rock band. Most were heavy drinkers and some drug addicts.
It's haunting to see Ryan drunk in a live event like this From what I heard, he drank solely for the dice part, said it would make him less shaky but he was shaking so much
Man you can just see the genuine concern on Steve-O’s face. Esp when he saw Dunn’s hands were shaking. And this was, I believe, the final time they ever saw each other. gotta be really tough to have your last memory+interaction w your close friend be a situation like this. 😔✌️
I can not believe that this is the last TV appearance for Ryan Dunn before he died of the car crash accident. 😢 Rest in Peace(RIP) Ryan Dunn! You're the greatest!
Before i even knew who these guys were, i saw this show n i felt like these guys are very interesting and then i discovered jackass. Was searchin for this episode for ages!
@@joekerr1763 no, it doesnt. everything in the description is "jackass, ryan dunn, steve o, guy fieri, minute to win, cky, johnny knoxville, bam margera" and the titlle states that this was tthe last tv appearance for Ryan. Not that it was the last time Steveo saw him
@@violentbryan21 yeah but it fucks with your equilibrium so it's crazy to think he looked good and sober but most likely the room was spinning from his point of view
28:43 Dunn is having what I call a fucking shake down. So much anxiety and panic running through you and the one thing you want to do besides drinking is escaping and you can't do either. I have normal days like this now...it's fucked. I quit all the bullshit years ago, I love Mary Jane.
I’m so happy to know you’re not drinking anymore. My brother died from his alcoholism, so any positive story makes me happier than you know. Marijuana is so much safer, and no one dies from it.
I don't care what anyone says about Steve-O man. If you actually know a little about him, he is a seriously caring person. He genuinely cares about his family and friends for real. Never seen him so concentrated and serious and collected before!!!
I remember him talking about this with Graham Bensinger but man I didn't realize he straight up shows his DTs live on television. Really heart-breaking stuff.
@@dylansheppard2479 not sure you understand DT’s because if he had delirium tremens on live tv it would have either been shut down or made international news if they stayed on air just because of how bad it would have been. DT’s is the severe level of alcohol withdrawal where you suffer hallucinations and delirium. That’s hallucinations you perceive as real and become delirious which is very different than the hallucinations of just moderate withdrawal in which you see shit but know it’s not real. I had the latter a few months ago when I quit cold turkey
@@dblackout1107 I understand that but one major feature of DTs is tremors/shaking hands which he clearly was showing here. God know what else was going through his head but my point stands.
@@dylansheppard2479 I get what you meant but just for the sake of correcting you. Tremors is its own symptom of withdrawal at all levels of severity. Delirium tremens is a level in which you need to be hospitalized. He wouldn’t been on tv at all if it was DT
Steve-o talked about how ryan had the shakes because he didn't have any alcohol, basically had the alcohol shakes. Sad. Said this in one of his interviews
For some reason I always think back to the cribs ep when dunn was explaining why he sleeps on a mattress on the floor and not the bed. He did it too keep cool and it makes sense.
dunn was the best rip the randon hero i literally been showing my kid all the jackass cky wildboyz an viva la bam stuff an all i can say is we had such a crazy dope tv experience as a kid now tv sucks lol mtv is so haggard we need shows like that back now give the kids that raw big brother dopeness
Nah bam probably would have killed him quicker and that's just the god awful truth. Imagine bein bullied to death man. Bam holds the jackass title over his own head like a dunce cap nowadays
Ryan was much more a recluse and kept everything inside. He didn't have a wide social media presence and even his fellow castmates didn't know about his alcoholism. If he was to have gotten sober it would have been out of the public spotlight.
@@rph8704 i mean he had facebook, youtube, instagram, twitter, tumblr, myspace… ryandunntv was his username. i remember him posting to twitter and tumblr daily. a lot of it is gone now though since his passing but he did have a social media presence, he just needed more time to make a name for himself on a wider scale
Notice how at the end of the episode Steve-O wasn't getting close with Ryan anymore? It was because behind the scenes Ryan Dunn was smashing some liquor and Steve-O caught him and was pretty pissed off about it. The show had to continue but you can definitely see how different Steve-O was with Ryan all throughout the show until the last segment after Dunn failed to stack up the 6 dice due to his uncontrollable shakes.
You can even clearly see in Ryan's face towards the end of the show that he's obviously drunk. Where as in the beginning of the episode he was stone cold sober and thus the shakes of withdrawal.
I've seen you on different videos with steve o in them and you seem to think you know the guy, newsflash schizo you literally have no clue what you're talking about.
i got to do that. i met him and bam at bans restaurant the note in westchester. they were both hanging out upstairs at the bar. they both shook my hand and said hello and were nice but they were also both very drunk
