The violence progresses throughout the film to give insight into what driver is feeling, he wants to get out of the life of crime and live with Irene, and as the dream falls apart he regresses the epitome of the criminal lifestyle he sought to rid himself of. The elevator scene exhibits his lowest point, the last time he will see Irene because he knows he will have to act when he sees the gun in the man's jacket and he knows that Irene won't be able to be with him after seeing his dark side
Can anyone tell me what kind of glasses he's wearing and where I can get them? Ryan Gosling is just the perfect man that no man can deny. I'm straight but man I admire this dude, so much charisma and cool. :)
I just saw this movie. I was hoping to get some insight from Gosling about his character because i just didnt understand. There was innocence of him, but then when he was at the diner and told that dude that he was going to kick his fucking teeth in while saying it so casually i was like, okay I don't know who the fuck this person is. What stuck with me was that elevator scene, i wasn't expecting him to kick that dudes face all the way into the floor.
