Ryan Gosling's pick-up artist character and Emma Stone's winning combination of plucky nerdiness that gives way to accessible lovestruck wildness. Gangster Squad (2013) Crazy, Stupid, Love. (2011) La La Land (2016)
That or others saw the movie. What is really unbelievable is when people tried handing off money like the girl is a waitress like Hitch did. I stood there laughing my butt off when they told about the woman putting money in her pocket and walking away. My response was you didn’t see that coming.
Correcting you: a handsome, good looking guy delivering a perfect pick up line got rejected by a beautiful, good looking woman with a perfect pick up line. And plus, it's only a movie...
Its not a loss or anything as what others are saying in the reply. When men understand this dating world is all about fun and jokes, and was never really about anything serious. You will really put yourself 5 levels ahead in the game
This movie actually became one of my favorites before I even binged The Office. The confrontation scene between Ryan, Steve, and that teen girl's dad was hilarious af. Definitely one of the greatest comedy clip of its time.
If I had a nickel for every time Ryan Gosling hit on Emma Stone in a movie, I'd have 3 nickels. Which isn't a lot, but strange that its happened more than once.
Most people who don't have childhood traumas are not this confident. Just be a better version of yourself, one step at a time. Who knows what those steps could add up to. Leonard Cohen sang: Ring the bells that still can ring, forget your perfect offering, there's a crack, a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in.
Idk, Ryan & Emma seems like siblings. They did 3 movies together but I always felt like there's something wrong with their chemistry. Anyway I enjoyed all 3 movies for their stories.
He asked permission to approach the bench, its hardly aggressive just very quick. If she told him to leave immediately and he didnt then its harassment sure.
I like both Ryan and Emma but IDK why I never liked their chemistry. They seem like sibling-ish to me! They did 3 movies together, La la land was a decent movie.
Crazy Stupid Love was absolutely amazingly hilarious. That and nice guys... I've never laughed as much as I have at those 2 movies. Ryan is a fucking natural.

@@belenheredia2024 Yeah, I get your point. The MCU Spider-Man Trilogy is an example of how to not a remake a classic which is the Tobey Maguire Trilogy.

Yeah, that's a problem. There shouldn't be a double standard. But she didn't actually tell him to stop or leave them alone. She left, giving a clear signal.
This is a really, really, really good movie, one that everyone loved when it came out but I think a lot of people have forgotten about or haven't seen. This is a movie you recommend to a person between 18 -25 who isn't a huge movie fan that asks for you to recommend a comedy to them.
@Caio Da Silva Barreto He just repeated what she said to him 1 second earlier to just be funny. An example of a double negative is when you say, for example “you don’t have no money.” How can someone “don’t have no money?” There are two negatives in the sentence (“don’t” and “no”). They cancel each other out and this should not be said or stated.
@Caio Da Silva Barreto 2 negatives (double negative) make a positive. Generally the same in maths and english so should be the same for people. Sounds like a cheesy intellectual pickup line. 🤔
Because it's stupid. And anyone with half a brain doesn't think it's clever. Calling someone "a double negative" isn't clever, it's just insulting. He's effectively calling her "two faced".
That's true, the better looking you are, the less talk you need. So, being ugly doesn't need to be a tragic. If you are ugly, just read more, learn to be charmy, confident, funny and show respect.
A little detail I like is that Ryan unbuttons his suit jacket when he sits down, which is what you should be doing to not distort the jacket. There's been some instances where men will not do that on film or in real life and it can break the magic.
Yea try those without his looks. There are no magic lines you can say to get woman like you. Either she finds man attractive enough to give him a shot to listen what he says or no and then it does not matter what he says.
@@cheflev9884 Of course it is cynical. Picking up partner is inherently selfish act. In causal dating looks are nearly 100% of the game. That's why you only see good looking guys and girls engage in it. Rest is committed to serious relationships. Sad reality is if you don't have the looks but you will still try to approach girls with some cheesy line you will be branded as "some creep".
@@jeffsaffron5647 The only thing that’s true about what you said and this is my take on it is that good looking men often succeed in getting more women. But there is SO much more to it than just looks and status. Hence my comment that being cynical doesn’t help. Women will sense your resentment in the approach and scoff at you before you can even utter your punch line. Try making them laugh before before selling yourself short.
❤️Thanks for unbeatable love and support you have consistently been showing me. I really appreciate the unconditional love I’ve gotten from you, which has inspired me to give more sensational entertainment. I’m forever grateful. What country are you watching from?
No one knows what works best in the real world, unless they know who they are talking to. Maybe the girl is into bad boy biker types, or dark brooding artists. These types of movies think there are only one type of woman that is into flashy clothes and squeaky clean good looks, because that is what audiences have been programmed to respond to for decades.
Thank you for uploading this, & thank u to the one who mentioned the name of the movie somewhere in the comment section. This was in my newsfeed..I looked it up and streamed the movie. Thought it was a simple romcom which is fine if it is..but it was more than that. Simply one of the best ones I've watched!
Some comments are missing the obvious. The comedy here is that Ryan is so good looking that he can say anything and the girls will have their full attention on him. The friend was looking at Ryan the whole time with sparkly eyes, laughed at everything he said, and at one point she said "I love you" to Ryan Gosling. The punch line at the end was that Emma Stone did not give in to Ryan, lol !! We were all thinking "come on, no girl would seriously walk away from Ryan Gosling".
This looks 'cool' because it's ryan gosling in a movie where they're trying to romanticize the scene in every way they can, but it would be straight weirdo vibes in the real world
I had someone who isn't typically physically attractive dropped some pick-up lines on me. He became attractive because he made me laugh with his insane wits. Maybe he did learn this up, but whatever, he remembers random shit he didn't need better than the things he needed to. Funny guys always have some level of intelligence to crack you up. Look out for funny guys.
This is the first time I have heard Ryan Gosling speak in his mother tongue. His voice is Ok but interestingly his Hungarian dubbing voice is even better - more charming and sexual.
Guys don't downplay yourself. Ryan looks like he has game cause there is a camera on him with perfectly setup lines and scenario. You are worth it and capable of doing the same thing in life. Treat a girl with respect and tell them how you feel.
This is incredibly well-written, except for the ''I love you'' These characters are so well developed you can't tell if the lines make them or if they usher in these lines as if they're breathing, so real and natural, seamless
He's not handsome, cute or pretty.. What he is, is Charming, CHARISMATIC, Suave and Sexy, this is a way better combo. Okay so it doesn't hurt that he's not ugly 😉🙃🤭
