In preparation for the Chicago Marathon, follow Ryan through his training regimen in Flagstaff, AZ. His training shoe of choice is the GEL-Cumulus®. As he approaches race day, he changes to a lightweight, racing flat, GEL-Hyper Speed®.
3:12 Ryan believed all along the 2 hour marathon was possible and that we would see it in our life time. On this day, Eliud Kipchoge runs 1:59:40 #NoHumanIsLimited
@arieland2000 Sara Hall's PR for the mile is 4:24. I'm pretty sure you cant run faster than that so dont judge her. And Ryan Hall ran a 2:04 marathon, which is sub 5 mile pace the whole way.
Cool video. I had 4 guys from Oklahoma Univ. cross country training out of the cabin last summer. Wonder if you guys passed each other on the trails? ha
It is so sad that ryan hall just gave up on running. I know that God is a runner for life and maybe God just told Ryan Hall that his mission with running had been accomplished. But I think irregardless running should be a longtime passion.
He fell apart after he left Terrence Mahon. He thought it would be better to self coach himself and move to Flagstaff. Ever since then, he never improved. That just goes to show: why leave a system that’s working for you?
