I lol'd when he said this. Like... Ryan, my guy, give yourself some credit: Guster and Ben (solo career) have like the same number of studio albums. Gotta love humble Ryan though. Also I love his enthusiasm for the Banjo jam parts. Bring back the 00's banjo riffs!!!

Me and the boys used to sing "satellite" to each other while playing laser tag. It was probably irritating and mildly unnerving to hear a group of teenagers singing off key and out of breath while trying to take the base of the other team.

I am absolutely perplexed by this reaction. This is one of the hookiest songs I’ve ever heard. It may not have an exact lyrical hook, but it has a HUGE melodic hook that you wait for over and over again.

Definitely tells a story, the groove and melody are so friggin good. I wish the chorus lyrics didn't change every time, only because it's taking me forever to learn the words!!! lol like I said though, the story it tells is fun and overall just a great song

Emily ivory is definitely in my top 10 songs. The whole storyline it has is great (i always get tingles at the final "big things are coming soon") and the entire song is just so easy to do a little dance to.

this is pure. i mean, they write so many songs, this got scrapped, and here Ryan is rediscovering himself. i really think the song is great (has the same echoey piano as on the ocean's opening) and it just is lovely. Thanks Gusters.

I love the story. It’s quirky. It’s fun. It’s hopeful. The imagery takes you on Emily’s journey. From wearing her mom’s clothes to bed(ok, a little weird) - to spring break in Mexico where she finally breaks out of her shell. Glad you finally listened to it and STOP beating up the lyrics. This IS a solid track! ♥️

Maybe it's just because I miss the Guster sound from this era, but I really like this tune. I actually like it better than a few songs on Ganging up on the Sun. Definitely should have made the Satellite EP.

Lol “I’m not mad at that at all…” There’s been this thirty or forty-five second audio-only video of this song that I would watch incessantly after GUOTS [dope acronym] came out, and I would wish that I could hear the entire track. It’s one of my favorite songs ever. So I’m glad that Ryan’s not in charge of keeping track of Guster songs.

I’ll be honest… I’ve never heard of guster… I came because Rob Thomas (matchbox 20) has Emily Ivory as his song of the day so I came to check it out. So glad I did. Listened to the audio but came to watch ryan’s reaction (that was fun but didn’t realize he was the singer till he said it. Lol) I really enjoyed the song. Now I’m off to find more Guster to see if all of the music is this easy to listen to.
