I so much thank my parents for having me in 1965. God rest them, both passed away far to early in early 90s. I'm blessed for having the parents I had for such a short time but oh so blessed by the music I grew up with in my teenage years +. ❤️

Ja, onze kids vinden het te gek, vooral de jongste kan er geen genoeg van krijgen. We zetten het nummer op repeat en ketenen de kinderen vast aan de bank. Voldoende water en Brinta voor een week en wij gaan een weekend stappen in het Ruhrgebied. Naaktstrand, amfetaminen en Disco uit de jaren 80. Zo hebben we een onvergetelijke tijd voor het hele gezin.

I'm 58 yrs old, i grew in the 80,s when there were jubox in cafe and bars all around, you just slip a coin 🪙in the box press that song 🎵and wow 👏this just blast and you relax 😌with a drink and let yourself go 🚶in that vibe. Jup hier precies hetzelfde. Met een enorme klodder gel zit mijn haar strak in een kuif, een gers overhempje en een strak wielrenbroekje met een meloen er in. Pindakaas op de snor en stoten met de heup op "La Dolce Vita". Ik doop de plumeau nog eens in de gelei en zeg met een knipoog "hou het nieuws in de gaten!" en jij en ik begrijpen elkaar dondersgoed.

Jesus, it's 1983, I'm 13, and I'm listening to my cassettes on the stereo at 7:50am before I have to go to school in Scoil Mhuire Marino in Dublin. Such happy memories of this song being played constantly on holiday in Spain ! Me and my friend were 14 at the time and my mum had taken us away ! We bought the 12 inch remix there ! Even now my friend and I love this song and play it in the car if we’re ever together! Both in our 50’s now ! Where has that time gone?? 😢❤

Listened to Dolce Vita again after many years and it totally stucked in my head (again), I keep humming those synth loops all day long, just can't get rid of them. This is such a catchy and great 80's song, Paris has a very likable voice, smooth and easy on the ears. They don't do them like this anymore...

Au contraire, pense que tu as eu la chance de connaître une époque que les jeunes générations ne revivront plus tandis que nos anciens avaient vu leur jeunesse brisée par les deux guerres mondiales et la guerre d'Algérie; C'est pour cela que l'on a appelé cette période "la parenthèse enchantée", une parenthèse comme un oasis d'insouciance pour le monde occidental malgré la menace de guerre nucléaire réelle (qui failli éclater en 1983 !° Période de grande inventivité,grande créativité au niveau musical et cinématographique avec la fin de la censure, peu de chômage, avec des salaires indexés sur l'inflation, liberté sexuelle avec la pilule et pas encore l'arrivée du sida, croyance dans le progrès indéfini de l'humanité avec les progrès de la médecine et la réalisation du vieux rêve de l'humanité d'envoyer des hommes dans la lune !

@@sarahzakiilebest6477 Et encore le covid n'est rien par rapport aux générations qui ont vu leur jeunesse sacrifiée par les guerres de 1914-1918, de 1939-45 ou la guerre d'Algérie .Ceux qui ont eux leur jeunesse durant les décennies des années 60,70 et 80 peuvent donc s'estimer d'autant plus privilégiés par rapport aux générations qui les ont précédé et par rapport aux générations suivantes qui subissent le chômage de masse, le retour de la censure et du puritanisme, la violence endémique et des attentats meurtriers sur le territoire..Les années 60,70,80 ont constitué une parenthèse bienheureuse dans le monde occidental, un oasis de bien être au milieu de plusieurs siècles de tragédies de l'histoire, il faut bien être conscient..
